| Above: The Legacy in Cowhide is Crossway's best made Bible to date. One of the first things to notice when you purchase a Legacy Bible is that it is fairly heavy for its size. The added weight is a function of the density of the paper - which is one of its best characteristics - paper opacity is among the best Crossway (or any other publisher) has produced in a while. |

Above: Side and bottom Margins are consistently at 1.5". The top margin is 1" The Margins on this Bible are substantial enough to call it a 'Wide Margin' Bible. Its margins are as wide (or wider) than the Cambridge Wide Margin Bible - but not nearly as Wide.... The way the Legacy is able to achieve a manageable size, legibility AND Wide Margins is its absence of text references. The Cambridge Wide Margin Bibles maintain all of the cross references of a reference Bible....So as always in publishing there are 'trade offs.' |

Above:The Calfskin above is bound with spine ridges and 2 red ribbon markers. A solid Wide Margin Bible that maintains the size of a classic reference Bible. It achieves these dimensions because it is a 'text only' Bible. Anyone who wants a highly legible, wide margin Bible without the cross references, this is a winner. Though the Legacy can not boast the 'bells and whistles' of Cambridge or Allan, it outperforms its competitors in the basic fundamentals of Bible binding. The greatest single component of this Bible is its outstanding paper quality - which gives rise to its excellent legibility! Well Done Crossway! |
