The most awesome Bible I own. It is thick large and breathe taking. I see it is sold out and pre-ordering is in effect. Better put your name in now for pre-order. I have several other Allans and Schuyler Bibles but none this gorgeous. It has 3 silver ribbons, Bold text, page numbers on the bottom, dictionary of scripture proper names, a subject index, concordance, and 15 maps and 15 pages of lined paper in the back. Also seems to have line matching on the text block. Almost no bleed through. Have to really look to see any bleed through. Closest to perfection of any Bible I own or know of. Also has a full Yapp cover. It is also an Allan first edition. The cover is a dark blue. The pages are silver over blue edges.

This bible has a lot of good features, first of all being a “Longprimer” is beautiful and elegant. The craftsmanship is at the top of the market, the “Highland Goatskin” leather is gorgeous, the finest paper, the art gilt is stupendous and very well done, the bold type on this text makes a difference as far as readability concerns, the increased margins make the text to look even more beautiful and readable. This edition of the “Longprimer” even though is 10% bigger is not as heavy or “big” as one might think, in fact It does not look like block at all, I think this editions retains all the beauty of the 53. I personally am happy specially because of the quality of the paper improvement, it is just superb!

I have purchased several Allan, Schuyler and Cambridge Bibles. I keep going back to Allan and let me tell you, none compare to this one! Not even other Allans. Why can’t they make all Bibles of this quality? The leather cover is so soft. The type is as close to perfect as you can get and then it’s printed on this special paper (?). The full yap and extra margins just point to elegance. It’s so “perfect” I’m almost afraid to use it….

I forgot to say that with really good high quality Bibles coming out with thicker pages it sure makes it easy to read quicker. I absolutely despise super thin paper in a Bible. Takes several days to get them apart but not on this Bible. Just start reading it. Also got a brown one. Told the blue one I liked it best and think I hurt the brown ones feelings. Just kidding. Both are rated by me as 91/2. Well! nothing is perfect.

I really appreciate the larger font of the text. However,I cannot understand the references being too small! To read them I need reading glasses. Little thought must have been given to this obvious need; as the same eyes are reading both references and text. Perhaps less border and bolder references, PLEASE? Otherwise beautiful and well made! Thank you.

One of the most elegant bibles on the market today. So luxurious that I am almost afraid to take it out of the box and use it.

OK, I admit it. I had to wait a while to do this review because I was so impressed with this Bible. I didn’t want to slobber all over this review. I had just recently received a longprimer in NB before stepping up to get this one. All I can say is, is what I have already said about the 53, squared; and add WOW for this 63 NB silver line. Maybe it’s the ex sailor in me, but I find this color to be very beautiful, not to mention the silver over blue gilding. Obviously the text block is almost perfect. So, again; WOW.

Yes, the sailor in me is what provoked me to purchase this beautiful bible! The blue/silver combination is very beautiful. I am so pleased with this bible that it will be my family heirloom bible. I will purchase a “user” bible to preserve this beauty!!

By far the very best quality Bible made today.
There are two features that stand out for this elegant Bible.
    The Highland Goatskin.
It simply melts in your hands when you pick it up.
The grain is perfection at its finest.
In my opinion the Blue Silverline edition is the best choice in colors as well.
The high quality of the 38gsm paper.
Makes it such a pleasure to read from.

I could go on and on listing all the wonderful features that are offered within this masterpiece.
But I will keep this review short by not doing so.
And will end by saying I highly recommend this beautiful Bible.
    And if you appreciate elegance?
You will appreciate The 63 Longprimer Sovereign Silver line edition.
It is the epitome of excellence.

I just wanted to add some more information to my review.
I just felt I needed to say more about this exquisite, elegant Bible.
    This Bible certainly deserves it.
*I know I mentioned about the grain of the Highland Goatskin prior, but what I didn’t mention is how soft and supple the leather is.
I don’t think there is a finer leather offered.
Maybe you can find something comparable if you were to custom make a Bible through private reminding.
But I would also like to mention that the Cambridge Clarion Goatskin is a fine leather and comes very close to the Highland goatskin.
But feels that the Highland goatskin has that slight Edge over the Cambridge.
*One of the other things that stands out for me is the increased margins.
There is one inch on the outside and bottom edges.
It gives you just enough space within the gutter that makes for such an easy read.
*I simply love the color of this Bible as well. The Silverline Edition in my opinion is the best color option in the Soveriegn Longprimer.
*The blue under silver page edges are stunning along with the *silver embossing on the front and spine, and around the inside.
Not to mention the beautiful *marker ribbons being in silver.
Myself I am a big fan of a *generous yapp.
It just makes this Bible all the more elegant.
    Another point of
this Bibles Beauty is the lining. It is *leather lined in dark blue with *double silver Gilt lines.
The new style in the *presentation pages gives a nice Added Touch they are printed in a thicker cardstock paper which includes a family record, children,
two pages for marriages, two pages for grandchildren, and a single page for deaths.
Is Bible is a *11-point font. And it’s boxed *weight is a 1.3.
It comes with what is typically indicative to RL Alan and that is it’s very nice *presentation box or gift box some call it.
It also comes with a generous portion of study aids.
    *A Dictionary of Proper Names.
*A subject index and a hefty *Concordance.
Along w/ *16 full color Oxford Maps. They are beautiful and add Elegance to any Oxford Bible.
Also has a *list and index for the New Oxford Bible maps
And let’s not forget the *100,000 Center Column Chain References with dates printed above.
The text within the center column references are small but with such Clarity within this text.
It makes it still a very easy read.
Which here, I’d like to say something about the text itself, meaning the printing.
The printing is a crisp, clear, and clean text, not too bold, yet not to faint. It is a perfect color of print that brings such an ease to your reading.
Also as normal within this text, is the title headings on each page.
This is considered to be a large Bible, some would say, a Bible that is not convenient to carry around, but I feel that to be just preference not as a rule of thumb.
    The *page size is 9 1/4″ x 6 1/2″ x 1 12″
With 1″ margins, outer & bottom.
With all RL Allan Bibles it has the special license granted by the late Queen Victoria to her printers for Scotland.
Dated- Eleveth July Eighteen Hundred and Thirty Nine.
The Longprimer reference Bible was first published by Oxford University press.
This particular Bible was printed in the Netherlands on
acid- free paper by Royal Jongbloed.
It also has the epistle dedicatory that I believe all KJV Bibles should have.
It also has a page with the Note on the references, which in it states “The plan of chain references is not in the interest, or against the interest,of any school of thought, since it does not rest upon interpretation, but simply on occurrence of subjects”.
One more thing I forgot to mention.
It also has 32 lined pages which is a great feature.
Though I could never find myself placing a mark and such an Exquisite Bible as this.
This Bible in my opinion is to be treasured.
If you wish to place notes? I recommend purchasing something like a
    “Jot Bible Journal”
which comes in a nice genuine blue leather to somewhat match the Soveriegn.
The both of them makes quite the pare.

Lastly I just like to say that without a single solitary doubt have no problem recommending this 63 Sovereign Silverline Longprimer RL Alan KJV Bible to all.
It is their highest priced Bible, but so very much worth the cost.
And I would also have to say that I highly recommend
There is no finer place to purchase a high-end Bible.
Their customer service is bar none.
They truly care about each and every one of their customers.
So I wouldn’t hesitate in going on evangelicalbible com and finding yourself a beautiful Bible.
    God Bless
