English Standard Version (ESV). The English Standard Version is a literal
translation from the original texts, firmly rooted in the tradition of Tyndale
and King James but without archaic language. Published at the beginning of the
twenty-first century, it is closest in style to the RSV and is well suited to
public reading and memorization.
