The Revised Standard Version of the Bible (RSV) is an authorized revision of the American Standard Version, published in 1901, which was a revision of the King James Version, published in 1611.

Currently we only have one version, published by Oxford.  The RSV was considered for many years as a literal, scholarly translation and is the father of both the ESV and NRSV. Both of these translations are revisions of the RSV.
