I received my firebrick red Quentel NASB in the mail yesterday. This is my second Bible I’ve bought from here. The first was a Caxton NLT. I used it for the first time this morning.

Let me first get the negatives out of the way. Ummm … there aren’t any! I wouldn’t change one thing about this Bible.

The positives: on the outside – beautiful soft leather and a beautiful color. On the inside – perfection! The font is an excellent size. I’m 57 with high prescription glasses and there will never come a time when the print size will be too small to read. I love how clear and fresh and uncluttered the page is.

I love how the cross-references are at the bottom and the extra notes are on a space their own rather than mixed in with the cross-references. Love that it’s a black letter Bible. And I didn’t expect it (even though I had seen a lot of pictures of this Bible) that there is good space at the outside and inside of the page to add a few extra Scripture verses, the meaning of a greek or hebrew word, or even a little note of some extra info.

As for things like bleed through it is so minimal as to be all but unnoticeable. Love the white paper. Loved using it this morning. Everything about this Bible is perfect.

The bible is simply wonderful! Layout and binding is well done. Easy to read. You melt right into the text. The red is simply gorgeous, not a bright red, and not to dark, as to be thought as a burgundy color. It is a dark rich red. These bible become more supple the more you read and use them. Well worth the price. It is not to heavy to read and hold in your hand. It is smaller than a lot of some of the study bibles. I would’nt hesitate to carry it to church or a bible study. I love the Quentel series.

This is my favorite Quentel! Even better than my NKJV because it’s slightly smaller and because NASB is my main translation. The copy that I received has a very plush and soft cover. My other Schuylers are not as soft as this one. The creamy paper is incredible and the font and typesetting is perfect as usual. I have several other bibles (including a few Allans) but this is definitely my favorite! I’m considering another one in green for my birthday. 🙂

I am delighted to read that many of evangelicalbible’s customers get all squealy over these beautiful editions, to the point that one isn’t enough. You get a perfectly perfect red goatskin covered copy, and then that dark green, blue, or …. TAN, even, just grabs you. And you have to have it and begin looking for an excuse to buy it. Like a birthday. Or anniversary, of something. This is bordering on envy, a sin in any Christian’s list of sins, so make certain that you open and READ the Word, and remember Who this is about. Then the rest is all good, is it not?

I received the KJV Canterbury Bible on Christmas Eve – wonderful timing. It is a stunningly beautiful Bible. The quality and design are by far the best that I have ever seen. Thank you Schuyler and Evangelical Bible.

I ordered and received the NASB Fire Brick Personal Size Quentel last week. I love the color and the total effect of printing, colors and size is great! I am happy with my purchase except for a relatively minor disappointment, which is that the front cover of my Bible had two irregular stains close together on the mid-front area that had nothing to do with the goatskin grain/leather, but appear to have occurred with the dyeing process of the “fire brick” color. The stains were each irregular and a yellowish color, almost like spills that had penetrated the finished top; above these, there was also an area that looked as if the red dye had not penetrated the leather or had been missed in the dyeing process. These marks are, however, not glaring, so I decided to keep the Bible rather than returning it, figuring some matching shoe polish/wax could be used to color and buff the stained area into matching the rest of the cover. It is my hope that Evangelical Bible’s great customer-service will make note of this review and pass it on to the entity that conducts the final inspection of these beautiful, high-end publications. Thank you for the opportunity of sharing my opinion.
