Description

The KJV Concord Reference Edition was originally published in the 1950s and is highly regarded for its accuracy and clarity. The main text uses the Times Semi-Bold typeface, exceptionally clear and easy to read, with generous line spacing. Bold-figure cross-references link passages of the text without cluttering the page, and the Concord also features pronunciation marks for names and places. The Concord Edition opens with the translators’ preface and at the back is the reference material – a glossary, concordance, dictionary of names and phrases, and fifteen colour maps. There is also a presentation page and family record section. The Bible uses black-letter text throughout and is printed on India paper with gilt edges. It is bound with two ribbon markers in attractive calf split leather.

  • Uses black-letter text throughout
  • Includes bold-figure cross-references to link passages within the text

$107.50 was in my price range.
Durable cover, pasted together evenly, guilted edges done evenly.

8 point Times Semi-bold 421 black-letter text through out. But hey! What’s this? No your eyes are playing tricks, there are light and faint printed pages sprinkled throughout in groups of 2 and 4 and 8 and more pages.

In my honest opinion I think print quality should be priority when printing God’s Word the Holy Bible.

An excellent bible. Very well made and just the right size and weight for portability.

Love this Bible! I own more “high end” Bibles than most and this is the one I tend to use the most. While I don’t really consider this a “premium” Bible, I do consider it a high end Bible. While the split calf is stiff out of the box, it softens up a lot with use. A lot of people love their Allan Bibles and for good reason, but this little Concord is a great workhorse and my preferred reading / study Bible. The font is nice and bold and easy to read, it reads closer to a 10 point font. While the pages are thin, it takes highlights from my colored pencils nicly. The Bible Dictionary in the back is awesome, really amazing how much they fit into such a small package.
