The Concord is a truly remarkable Bible, one of our favorites. Clear, bold type, abundantly supple leather make this an excellent choice in the Authorized Version. Now, exclusively available from EvangelicalBible, it has received a beautiful new binding of marbled mahogany calfskin with a unique flexible leather lining. It also features a full yapp and raised spine hubs.
This Bible offers a wealth of reference material–a glossary, concordance, dictionary of names and phrases, fifteen color maps, and gazetteer. Bold-figure cross-references link passages of the text without cluttering the page.

A Cambridge Bible bound in the quality of a Schuyler. I have the goatskin as well. I like this a lot more. It feels like it is bound better and the yapp feels nice and protective. The leather feels soft, supple and strong. Doesn’t feel like it will scuff or scratch easily. Really feels like it will last. And the calfskin liner is key. The main reason I got it.
There are some changes I noticed after watching all the YouTube reviewers. It now has a gold gilt line on the inner liner. The corners appear to be more professionally and cleanly done. The maps are not on normal Bible paper. But rather the same paper the goatskin has. It is the “Non-glossy” card stock. This was a disappointment to me as I prefer the regular bible paper or the thicker regular paper for maps. Otherwise they bleed on each other. I hope this doesn’t happen. I love using maps, especially the Cambridge ones.
Overall I love this Bible. Great for every occasion and portable. Light and easy to hold and handle, especially with this full-yapp version. Easily my favorite bible I own. Thank you Cambridge and Schuyler for working together to make this.

What a gorgeous Bible! I was so excited to get this Mahogany Concord. I could not believe the floppiness right out of the box. The leather smells and feels fantastic. I have another new Bible in black calfskin but it doesn’t compare to the feel of this one. So so supple, loose, and flowy. It’s easy to hold and to read. I like that the words of Christ are in red, and there’s plenty of reference material in the back (concordance, dictionary, colored maps) as well as in the center columns. And the yapp! I chose this particular one because of the yapp as much as the unique color. What a beautiful Word this is. Don’t hestitate to grab this one if you are considering purchasing it. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The Marble Mahogany Calfskin binding presents truly noble character. The Cambridge Concord text font is the Times Semi-bold 421, likely the most readable Bible font. The Oxford Longprimer is another excellent print font (see the Allen Bibles on Schuyler). This Cambridge Concord includes an excellent Concordance and a nice little Bible Dictionary in addition to Oxford Bible maps. Overall, this is Cambridge Bible ranks in my “Top Three Best” for size, readability, and overall quality of materials and workmanship. Well done Schuyler and Cambridge.

After trying out most of the main “high-end” hand-sized reference bibles–Schuyler Personal Canterbury, Allan Brevier Blackface, Allan Brevier Clarendon, Cambridge Pitt Minion, Cambridge Cameo–I have to say that I didn’t expect this bible, which is bigger, to end up my favorite all-around bible. My second favorite is my Allan Brevier Clarendon. This calfskin is a big upgrade to the usual Cambridge goatskin, in my opinion, and I didn’t expect to love the brown color so much.
The size is absolutely perfect for my bigger-than-average hands. I even carried it around with me in my non-wheeled carry-on luggage on my last flights.
Text is clear, dark, and easy to read. All of the references I could want with the translators notes and subscriptions. The paper is thin, but no so much as the Brevier Clarendon.
I have to reiterate that this cover is a true improvement to the Concord Reference. I hope this bible continues to be produced in the years ahead. And despite my love for the brown, I would love to see a black version with a full yapp.

Amazing! This Bible is beautiful! The marbled mahogany is gorgeous on the soft supple calfskin. I look forward to holding this in my hands every time I read it because it feels so great! This is perfect for the classic and well loved Cambridge Concord Bible.
You will have to be gentle with it because the calfskin scuffs easier than the goatskin. I would not recommend it for a Bible constantly on the go, but it is excellent for at home reading and study. The Bible size is perfect with an easy to read font and layout. The yapp makes it even better!

This is truly a nice Bible. The form factor is an ideal balance between portability and readability with a font size that is larger than the 8 point font listed in the description. It is quite readable for 50-year-old eyes requiring progressive trifocal glasses. The cover is soft and supple, and the full yapp is not overdone, which, on some of my Bibles is the case. Too much yapp and the cover edges get worn, but this Bible has the ideal amount of material.
I have not tried highlighting in this Bible because I intend to keep it as a clean copy.
Overall, if you want a portable Bible that has just a bit larger, more readable font than a typical compact Bible, this one would be a solid choice.
