Pitt Minion Bibles are notable for their synthesis of function and style and have been a feature of the Cambridge list for many decades. The text is presented in paragraph style using a modern font that delivers the characteristic combination of clarity with economy of form–producing a compact, slimline Bible that is exceptionally clear and easy to read.
The NIV Pitt Minion Reference Edition now includes the New International Version text as updated in 2011, supported by cross-references, a concordance and maps. The words of Christ are printed in red, and the Bibles are printed in the Netherlands on India paper in paste-off bindings, with ribbon markers and presentation page in a range of fine leathers.

Such a compact little Bible with a quality feel. I’ve had a couple of smaller, compact Bibles but the Pitt Minion outshines them all. The leather feels sturdy and mine has larger grain than other goatskin leather I own. I love how it effortlessly lays flat from Genesis to Revelation. The visual layout of the text is clean with a ‘classic’ feel. There is so much packed into this little Bible –cross references, textual notes, concordance and maps! The text is small but legible. It’s a great size that is easy to carry with you which means you’re more likely to take it with you.
I’m so grateful for Bible publishers like Cambridge who continue to make available premium Bibles like this compact Pitt Minion.
Thank you also to Evangelical Bibles who were prompt in both responses to questions and in sending this Bible to me in Australia.

I did not purchase this Bible through EVBible, but still wanted to leave a review. As read in other reviews on this site and Amazon, the goatskin cover does feel more like plastic than I thought it would, but it does look like it will last a very long time. It is very firm which is typical of a paste-down liner. I don’t like Bibles with cross-references, but it seems impossible to find a premium Bible without them. The center column doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would. This is not a pocket-Bible but the compact size is GREAT for bringing to church, weddings, hospital visits, street evangelism, etc. which is why I got it. I don’t read the NIV, but again, referring back to previous sentence, NIV will do the job. I would prefer the NLT 2015 updated text, but they don’t offer that in Pitt Minion or any other goatskin compact Bible that I can find without rebinding.

I’ve owned my NIV Pitt Minion now for about two months. I needed a hand-size compact Bible to take with me when I go places and having recently switched to the NIV as my primary translation (I’m at a church where 90% of the people know English as a second language) this Cambridge was my best high quality option. The brown goatskin version is cheaper than the black, so I went with this one.
The goatskin binding with paste down liner appears well constructed. After some regular use it has broken in fairly well, though it is rather stiff out the box. No surprise the font size is pretty small; however, the readability is good and I have no complaints. This is a red letter edition, which I’m not a big fan of, but this might be a draw for others. All in all this is a nice handy little Bible and I don’t regret purchasing it. I knocked it down a star because I feel the price point is a little on the high end for what you get. I own at least a dozen other Cambridge, Allan, and Schuyler Bibles and in my opinion an appropriate price for the brown goatskin Bible would be $25 cheaper than the current list price.

…An amazingly constructed, beautiful book! Constructed as books used to be crafted in years past, this Bible will not disappoint. I love everything about it. Yes, the type is small, but this is also a small Bible. The print is still very legible, and this is the perfect size for me to bring to hospitals and home visits. I would also like to personally thank evangelicalbible.com for promptly correcting a small mistake in my order, then paying all shipping and handling costs. Their service is above and beyond! Thank you!
