I wanted to find an ESV that I could click with. I went through a few different ESV text blocks but none hit the exact mark for me, so when I heard that this was coming out, I just had to get one. I am so glad that I ordered because it has become my favourite ESV above all the others. It’s so easy on the eyes, generous line spacing and I’m not normally a single column person but this has drawn me to love this Heritage! It fits in my small hands well, and it’s too darn nice. I am extremely happy with the Heritage. Well Done guys!

The collaboration between EvangelicalBible and Crossway offering three (3) new ESV Heritage exclusive Bibles in three new quality leathers and colors is fantastic. These Bibles are striking to the touch and pleasant to look upon. The 9.25-point font size allows the reader a comfortable reading experience. However, it is important that we recognize that the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six (66) books between the leather covers, is proclaiming the inspired words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we read and study the bible, His words provide us with the daily “Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding” needed to nourish and enlighten our spiritual growth and lives.

I’ve purchased many Bibles from EVB and have never written a review of one. After using my olive green Heritage for a few days, I had to leave a review to say this is likely my favorite Bible I’ve ever owned. The green calfskin is outstanding, and the shade of green they chose for the ribbons is right on the money. The text block is really nice, too; I like that it has inline verse numbers (unlike so many reader style options), and the page has just the right amount of negative/white space. The size is great for an every day Bible, too. I wish Crossway would include a concordance, but that’s a minor thing. Home run on this one!

Breathtaking color, absolutely love it! This Bible speaks high quality and elegance from the moment you open the box. Personally, I would decrease the size of the yapp a bit but I’m aware that many love full yapps and will also enjoy this extensive yapp. So in all fairness I have to give it the highest rating possible.

This is my first Crossway bible. I am impressed with the quality of the Bible. I own Allen and Schuyler bibles, and this bible is basically a Schuyler bible with a Crossway text block. This is my first green bible, and the olive green calfskin is beautiful. The marbled appearance is pleasing to the eye, and the feel, though not the same as the Schuyler marbled mahaguhay calf skin or the merlot calf skin, feels good in the hands. The semi-full yap is nice for protection and is well balanced between the normal yap of most bibles and the Schuyler full yap bibles. The tool line is a really nice addition and helps off set the permitter stitching.
The size of this Bible is almost perfect. I have a Schuyler personal size Quentel CSB that I carry with me every day. This size is good for carrying, but this size is better for reading with older eyes. The 9.25-point Lexicon font appears larger, though not as large as my Schuyler ESV Quentel. The paper appears to be whiter than some Bibles, possibly making it easier to read. The single-column format is easy to read, with margins that seem balanced for this text block and allow you some room to make a note too. The lack of cross-references, a first for me in a bible, is a plus as it adds to the clean readability of the bible. The lack of a concordance is not an issue either, as I have other bibles with both a concordance and cross-references to use for study. Bottom line: This is a high-quality reading bible that will not be a daily carry bible for me but will probably be a daily reader for me.
I hope the Evangelical Bible and Schuyler Bible will make other translations available in this quality and size of bible. The Stridon is close and would make a great close second to this bible if it were made in the CSB. I am sure others would like to have one in the NKJV or NLT too.
