If I could give evangelicalbible.com more than 5 stars, I would. Their customer service is the best I have ever experienced. I doubt I will ever buy a Bible anywhere else again.

As far as this beautiful, goatskin, Omega Bible I am thrilled with it’s quality. The line matching is excellent; the pages are vibrant; and the flexibility is fantastic. I think this is the perfect size for preaching for my tastes, and I am looking forward to many years to come with this in the pulpit.

WOW! This Bible is better than I could have imagined! It combines portability (9.75″ tall x 6.5″ wide x just over 1″ thick) with a generous 10pt font–making it a perfect personal Bible, preaching Bible or teaching Bible. Not only is the size of the Bible and size of the font two huge points in it’s favor, the craftsmanship has been executed flawlessly. The black goatskin feels and smells very nice. The Bible lays flat out of the box–it does start out somewhat stiff due to it’s thinness, but breaks in quite easily. The paper is extremely smooth, highly readable (due to line-matching which eliminates almost all bleed through or ghosting) and almost has a “cream” color tinge to it. I also appreciate the four ribbon markers and red under gold art gilding. The double column layout typically performs poorly in the poetry section, but compared to most double column formats out there, the Omega Thinline Reference created a double column format that is more than satisfactory in the poetry sections.

This will be my “Bible for every use” Bible. Personal reading, teaching, and/or preaching.

I HIGHLY recommend giving this a try, especially with the great price from EvangelicalBible.com!

Wow! What a fantastic Bible! Beautiful in every way. The text is clear and readable and beautifully set. The cover is outstanding, and the paper is like touching silk. This is going to be one of my two “go to” Bibles and will travel everywhere with me. The service at Evangelical Bible was, as always, superlative!

I just received my Crossway Omega Goatskin Thinline Reference Bible in the mail for the 2nd time!! I say the 2nd time, because once in awhile there are some small defects that can always be expected when mass producing. But my worries were put to rest when the crew at Evangelical Bible was so kind as to replace it and get the 2nd copy to me on the short notice that I needed it by. I’ve bought 6-8 Bibles over the yrs. from Evangelical and I can’t say enough about there service. They also deserve a five star rating. If you have an issue with these people believe me it’s YOU not them. They will go out of there way to make sure there isn’t one for you!!
    Now on to the Bible.
The ESV is a new version for me. I am more of a traditionalist. NKJV, NASB. I like the NLT but it’s a thought for thought translation. The ESV is a good modern literal translation. Once I felt the translation was a good one, I knew where to go to get a well made version of it. The Omega Thinline is a wonderfully crafted Bible. It’s print is not to small, or to large. crisp and not blurred or fuzzy. The Leather is outstanding. I love Goatskin leather. This one is not to stiff or to buttery. It sits right in the middle. Flexible, but still a bit firm. If you like the thinline Bible style, you will like this one for those reasons. It’s line matched from page to page and zero bleed threw. If I had to give any critique to it they are minor.
1st: The ribbons are very cheap. Not sure why?? This is not a knock against Crossway. Just about every expensive Bible I’ve bought have the same cheap ribbons!! I’ve become somewhat of an expert at replacing them with good ones. Cost about 30 cents per Bible. 2nd: The spine is too busy with advertisement. There are five things on the spine. 1.) Holy Bible 2.) ESV 3.) ESV logo 4.) English Standard Edition 5.) Crossway. Even writing it seems a bit much. I don’t want to discourage you on these points from buying it. There minor, but their legit. If I had the choice of buying all over again after seeing and having it in my hands I would. I will have many hours of enjoyment with it.

This is a wonderful edition of Crossway’s ESV. What I love most about it is its handy size and weight (not so large!) and its 10 pt. print size, along with the leather lined goatskin cover. I also like the double column format with the references and footnotes at the bottom instead of in a center column. The width of each text column is therefore good for readability. (I also like single column format IF the line length/word count is not too long.)

I also love the perimeter stitching, extra yapp, and the softer, almost coppery shade of the art gilt. The four different colored ribbons–black, brown, coppery brown, cream–are also a very nice accent despite their narrowness. The paper is good, and as always, line matching greatly helps with ghosting. Ideally, my older eyes would like slightly bolder printing, but that’s their problem.

I love the natural grain on this goatskin. It has some longer grain lines than my uniformly pebble-grained Allan and Schuylers do and is just as flexible. The finish does not seem quite as smooth, or maybe seems a bit more matte? This may simply be that it’s a little different, and isn’t a bad thing.

The particular copy I received is not 100% perfect, however. The gilt line has one spot that’s a little too light, and the inside leather lining feels a bit thinner just below that spot. I think this is probably a tiny fluke that applies only to my copy. The outside cover looks and feels perfect. I’m not about to reject it over this, nor deduct a star. For the sale price I paid this is a superb product.

The Omega is a premium quality work and, all things considered, ranks right up there in Schuyler and Allan territory. The Omega is also significantly less expensive and is a great value.

A bit about the translation choice, of which I’ve grown fond–
The ESV is one of the more literal translations, along with these others that I enjoy using and comparing: NKJV, NASB, KJV.

I just received my new Omega ESV and all I can say is, “wow.” As others have mentioned, this looks like an Allan Bible. I’ve owned an Allan, and I like this better because it does not feel as flimsy. It’s got just the right amount of stiffness to it. The font size is excellent. The yapp is just right, not to much of an overhang. Paper quality is fantastic, especially for a thinline Bible, should not have any issue with getting worn and potentially tearing as this ages. This looks like a workhorse Bible and will be my go to Bible from now on. At $157 (black), it’s a great buy compared to the price of an Allan. It should last forever. As always EV’s service is top notch, arrived in just 4 mailing days, media mail said 4-8 days. Thank you!!

This is the most nicest Bible that I have ever purchased. It arrived within 5 days of ordering. As soon as I opened the box, the smell of the leather was incredible. The leather is very soft, with a beautiful, deep grain. It feels so good in my hands that I just keep picking it up. In my opinion, the text is perfect, not too big, but certainly not small. The line-matching is extremely well done, and there is very minimal ghosting. I haven’t been able to afford to purchase an Allan, but from what I can see, Crossway has done an amazing job with the Omega. The only issue that I have with this particular Bible, is that I don’t know if I can bring myself to highlight or underling passages in it. It is almost too beautiful. It is a very nice size to carry to church, and too read at home, but I would think twice before stuffing it in a briefcase or backpack for travel, at least not without a proper case. If you decide to purchase the Omega, I don’t believe you will be at all disappointed. Especially at this price. It’s not inexpensive by any means, but it is well worth the money.

This is a fabulous Bible, received in record time, ordered on Wednesday afternoon and receive Friday morning. It is the perfect size, good for carrying around and also good for personal study. The goatskin is immaculate as usual, very flexible and soft. The cross references are put at the bottom right side of the page which makes for a much easier reading. This is the best Bible I have owned. I have ordered many Bibles from evangelical.com, and have never had to return one for any reason.

This is the most beautiful ESV that i have purchased.(i have four) It is so nice i actually feel like reading the Bible more. The edges are beautifully lined and the printing is clear and sharp. I was so tempted to buy a second one. It would be nice to have a customised case to protect it. I am really impressed with this product. The feel of the leather is very soft but firm enough.

I just got a second Crossway Omega. After using the first one I got another to not use but keep new. This Bible is the best ESV on the market. The Schuyler design and cover are awesome. Has very good print. Paper is typical Bible paper. Rather on the thin side but no more than any other Bibles. The thin Bible paper in Bibles drives me nuts. Come on get real Bible manufacturers put real paper in Bibles. The only Bible I know that has thick paper is the Schuyler Quentel NASB Bible. It is awesome. For the price of this Omega Bible you get a fully custom Bible with Schuyler and Allan quality. Better buy while you can. I don’t think they will last long. Maybe I’ll get another to give to someone. I am also waiting for the new Schuyler ESV Quentel due out towards end of year. It will be pretty thick also but about 10 percent less thickness as the NASB Quentel.
