Got this particular bible as a gift from my wife, and I can safely say it is the nicest one I have in my collection. The cover and leatherwork looks nice and feels great in the hands. The olive green is noticeable without being flashy. Lays flat right out the box and I like the red under gold gilding which complements nicely with the green.

As far as reading the Bible goes, the font is easily readable from a distance (great for when you are preaching from the pulpit). The section titles are a nice addition as well, and help me a lot when I am jumping between chapters. I know it is a minor touch, but having the verse numbers and drop caps in red really does wonders for the aesthetic.

Psalms being single column wasn’t something I thought would be a big deal, but reading through them with the Canterbury has been a very pleasant change of pace from my Thompson Chain.

I would definitely recommend the Canterbury to anyone that loves the King James Bible, anyone that is looking for a premium quality Bible, and especially to those that have been using study bibles for years. The references at the bottom of the page still gives the opportunity to explore the scriptures, but having them at the bottom instead of to the sides or in the center column just makes for such a cleaner and refreshing reading experience.

One minor thing I will note, the gilding on the side does not like moisture. So, if you have toddlers or are a bit careless when you drink a beverage, you can see where the liquid hit the side of the Bible.

I give this Bible a 5/5, and I truly believe that anyone serious about God’s word will love this Bible as well.

This Bible is fantastic. The pages r silky soft and the red letter text is so easy to read.not at all hard on the eyes. The cover is so soft as well. The Bible just opens up. I like the fact that there r not any commentaries so just reading the scripture. It would be nice if the reference scriptures were a larger font. And passage headings were a darker font. All in all a great purchase and very nice bible. I highly recommend this choice
