    Quality of the Bible 4stars
I have many Schuyler bibles and with each one that I buy I can tell that they are getting better quality. In some of my earlier purchases there edges and corners of the cover weren’t very pleasing to the eye and seemed a lesser interest was given. They way they places the ribbions on theses newer Schuyler are second to none they are perfectly placed within the book with out any overlap or twists which goes a line way with me. The ribbon quality is also second to none. You can just feel the difference between these and other premium bible ribbons. The ridges on the front and back where the text block is connected to the cover is very ridged and doesn’t lay flat without some usage. This is a very nice bible. My number one complaint is that the product pictures shows a very vibrant orange bible and I was disappointed when I opened it because it is not at all vibrant like the pictures show. It a very flat a burnt type orange. The display almost looks neon. All things considered I see the quality of these as better than the quentels

The only reason doesn’t get a 5 Star is due to the color not being well represented. More vibrant in the photos and just kinda flat and dull in real life.

I love my Bible that came today. I have three Bibles from Evangelical Bible, the other two are goatskin. Before I ordered there were no reviews on this particular Bible, so I thought I was taking a chance. Oh how in error I was! I love it! I must say I really appreciate all three Bibles. However, this one is just a pleasure to my eyes right out of the box. I love the size, smell, quality, feel, text size and yes…..the color. It is a “burnt orange” to me, but is plenty vivid enough. I love the contrasting blue liner and three blue ribbons. (Beautiful contrast) It does look brighter in the photo….(to me it looked a little too bright), that is probably why I am so pleased with it’s appearance. I also like the page gilding of blue and gold. When I look at this Bible, it is calling my name. Very pleased.

Exquisite craftsmanship and a supple cover that lays flat right out of the box. Other reviewers mention that it is not as vivid an orange as the photo shows. Mine is somewhere between that one and the additional photos available on the website, it is a shade of orange. I was concerned about the size of the text but it’s just fine for my tired old eyes and the Bibles dimensions are just right and it isn’t really that heavy. I am very happy with it and glad I invested in my first premium Bible.

The package arrived on time, and was well protected. I had been on the fence about getting the caxton ever since it first came out. Then I heard it was being discontinued, so I pounced on this calfskin edition. Normally I wouldn’t spend this much on a calfskin bible, but it is lined with leather; making it more durable than paste down bindings. The leather itself feels similar to the type of calfskin that is used in high end muscle cars. The orange looks like a true orange with a hint of red, similar to the color of a cutie orange. It’s not overly bright in doors, but outside the color is much more noticeable. The calfskin liner is a dark navy blue, with navy endsheets. The cool thing about the liner is that they managed to get the same print on the endsheets, printed on the leather. The blue under gold art gilding is done very nice, and dark. Normally I like blue under silver, but with this color scheme it is pulled off very well. The text itself is the nicest I have ever seen from the NLT. I’m glad I finally jumped on this one. The single column is the best single column I have ever seen in an bible before. The font size and spacing are perfect. This bible lends itself to reading for long periods of time. The references in the outside margins are not intrusive and are there if you want them. There are not that many references, which I am ok with; this is not meant to be a reference bible. The overall size is perfect, it is between a quarter and a personal size quentel. It hits a nice sweet spot. This bible is easy to carry just about anywhere. Though the color being brighter, and being calfskin, it won’t be seeing too many nature hikes. I bought this bible specifically to use on my YouTube channel as both to be used, and as a prop for my title screen; do I had my channel name stamped on the front. Evangelical did a great job on the stamping, looks and feels sharp.
Overall I am very pleased with this bible. I’ve been reading out of it non stop, i really love how easy it is to read. Get a copy while you still can, you won’t regret it.
Though the color combo is odd initially , it makes sense when you see it in person. Reminds me of a sunrise over the river.
Thank you evangelical bible for making this great edition of the nlt. Sad to see it go.
