  1. Luke C

I put this Bible on my Christmas list after extensive research into premium Bibles. My expectations for this Bible were high, but, after receiving it as a gift, my expectations were blown away! The leather on this Bible is of the highest quality and soft and flexible (and it smells amazing!). The paper is softer and smoother than any Bible paper I have ever felt. The art-gilding and perimeter stitching and every detail is done with the highest quality. This Bible will last for a lifetime. And, more importantly, it begs to be held and read. The beauty of its exterior is a testament to the far greater beauty of its content. If you’re on the fence about buying one, just do it. You won’t be disappointed. Take up and read!

Having been a fan of the HCSB, and the “optimal equivalency”, I was glad to purchase one of these Bibles. The blue goatskin binding is the best yet. The goatskin feels as natural as your own skin as you hold it in your hand. I especially love the 11 pt font, so easy on my old eyes, and the sewn binding makes it easy to hold it open anywhere, as it lays flat or rests easy in your hand. I would have thought a few years ago that Schuyler had made the ultimate Bible, but this one, I cannot put down, it is so nice to read, and with optimal equivalency I can rest assured that it is the perfect blend of word for word and word for thought. A treasure!

I just received this Bible today. I love the imperial blue cover with the blue-under-gold gilding. I have the Quentel NASB(2nd ed.) and this is much thinner, and dare I say, feels better in the hand. The print is nice and dark with the Old Testament quotes in the New Testament in a bolder font. The concordance has a much bigger font, which actually makes it usable as compared to my previously mentioned NAS Quentel and its companion wide-margin. A perfect Bible!!!

This bible is simply astonishing in its quality. I had bought my wife a Canterbury Wide Margin KJV in Slate goatskin in October, and she absolutely loves it, and I was really impressed with its quality and beauty. I have been wishing for someone to put out a first-class premium edition of my preferred primary translation, the CSB… and wouldn’t you know it, just a few weeks later, Schulyer announced the new Quentels! And now that I have it in my hands… I cannot find a single flaw in it. The construction is immaculate; the goatskin cover is a gorgeous dark blue and is supple and soft. The workmanship of the perimeter stitching and the corner work on the inner liner are perfect. The gilding is perfect all the way around, and I don’t find the blue art-gilding too strong or distracting (which was a concern). The paper is excellent and the pages are smooth and easy to turn. The Milo font is beautiful, large, dark and exceptionally easy to read; as another reviewer commented, although I haven’t seen every SINGLE page, the print quality is amazing and unlike some reports about earlier Quentels seems entirely consistent from cover to cover. I also love the format they used for the text itself and the placement of the references and translator notes. The ONLY thing that I think could be an improvement is if they had chosen blue-under-silver rather than blue-under-gold for the gilding. But that is a personal preference, and takes nothing whatsoever away from the superb quality of this beautiful bible. For anyone who likes the CSB translation and is looking for a top-notch premium edition… this is it.
