If you’re reading this and deciding if you should buy this Schuyler PSQ CSB, buy it! This is my 2nd premium Schuyler Bible and my first PSQ and I am in love. The Bible is beautiful, it’s the perfect size for taking with you on the go and the craftsmanship is a 10! I am so happy with this Bible and excited that I got it in the CSB translation.

Love this Bible! I hope they make more options for the CSB PSQ 🙂

  3. Daniel (verified owner)

Wonderful hand-sized Bible with clear print, nice paper, and all bound in an exquisite marbled mahogany leather (my favorite Schuyler leather). The margins seem fine to me. Agreeing with that same reviewer, “There is a lot to love about this Bible.” It is nice to have all of our frank reviews. Thank you all! And thanks Schuyler Bibles.

High quality, margins are perfect and calfskin is as floppy, yet softer than goatskin.

This was my first purchase of a Schuyler Bible, and it is outstanding! The quality of construction is excellent, the marbled mahogany calfskin cover is beautiful, and the text is surprisingly easy to read for a personal-sized Bible. While some reviews have been critical of the margin settings for this Bible, I actually find the margins in this edition to be advantageous given the smaller size of the PSQ. Some other personal-size Bibles I have used in the past that maintain more standardized margins can be difficult to read as the text nears the gutter in the center. This edition of the PSQ employs more generous margins in the gutter and narrower margins along the edge, which ensures the text is easy to read all across the page. I am very happy with this Bible and look forward to purchasing more Bibles from Schuyler in the future!

There’s a lot to love about this Bible.

BUT one frustrating flaw is how narrow the margins are. In my copy, the outer margin is sometimes a mere 3/16″ or 5mm, which is miniscule. In comparison, the gutter margin is 9/16″ or 14mm – almost three times as wide. This means that the text block looks like it’s been squeezed to the edge. I *think* this is a printing error, because the PDF of the page layout shows a more generous outer margin. It’s a real shame, to be honest, given how expensive the Bible is.

Apart from the tiny margins, everything else is perfect. But, I can’t go above 3 stars because the margins are pretty important to the overall feel of the page.
