I have spent weeks researching the exact specifications of my first premium Bible and Schuyler Bibles has exceeded my expectations. My Marbled Mahogany PSQ NKJV is absolutely beautiful. The marbling is strong but not gaudy, the page gilding and inscription are superb. This purchase has convinced me to invest in the larger version of the Quentel for late night reading. Overall 100% satisfied with this Bible!!!

It almost feels sacrilegious to leave a negative review of a bible. But, in this case I feel I have to comment on my experience with this model of the NKJV Quentel – the Marbled Mahogany Calfskin. The bible I received was anything but ‘marbled’. It doesn’t look anything like the pictures. It looks like a dirty brown leather bible. There is a small portion on the back of the bible that, if you stretched the truth a bit, you would say it’s marbled. The rest of it is just dirty brown. As the customer rep said on the phone when discussing return options – the ‘marbled’ pattern differs from bible to bible. I understand and accept that. BUT, if you are selling a ‘marbled’ bible I would expect some form of ‘marbling’ on the bible. I’m not calling out Evangelical Bible – they just sell them. It’s unfortunate that Schuyler would even consider the piece of leather I received as acceptable for anything other than a brown bible. Secondly, in terms of the calfskin I think it is inferior to goatskin. It’s too smooth (no perceived texture at all) and the full yapp doesn’t ‘train’ as well as the goatskin. This is a personal preference of course and not a ‘fault’ of the bible or manufacturer.
I’m just writing this review so others who are on the fence about this model can make a decision knowing about the potential variability from what they see in pictures to what they get. If I received a bible even close to the pictures it would be a 4+ stars (calfskin aside). The rest of the bible is amazing. I’ll likely be buying a goatskin version of the same.
And, unfortunately I missed the 10-day return window (wasn’t aware of it – and that’s on me) so I own it now. Going forward I’ll stick with my goatskin bibles. IMO they are superior in every way.

First of all, I really want to tell you people that I am a very picky guy when it comes to a bible. It has to be flawless. It’s a Holy Book after all right? But I’ve had terrible experiences in the past with other shops that I won’t name here. So I heard of Evangilical Bible and decided to give it a try. Best decision I’ve made! The customer service is extremely good! I am from Canada and shipping was super fast also! In fact, they are so professional I’m sure if I had a problem whatsoever with the product they would’ve helped me, But no need! I’ve ordered 2 bibles from them and they are flawless, they are, hands down, the best bibles I’ve ever owned. I love them. I am planning on buying one soon and even more to come! If you were on the fence about the price or the quality of the product; dont be! It is worth every penny, search no more, this is it. You will thank me later!
Now about the NKJV Mahogany:
It is an incredible bible. I love it, it’s just beautiful to look at, it smells good, it feels good in hands. You can’t go wrong, this bible could be your first one and your last one at the same time because you won’t need anything else after this, ever.
But be warned, if you are like me, you will buy more and more once you experienced one of these! They are that good.
