My Second Evangelical Bible. As I will finally getting to reading the NKJV next. And I am Extremely pleased with my NIV. I wanted my NKJV to be a Schuyler.
The NKJV version looks to be a joy to awake and read first thing in the morning. Like my NIV. I Love supporting EV as a native Virginian and they are a Virginia company that provides top level quality for what should be the most important thing in our lives.
Well Done EV!

I received my psq Imperial blue goatskin bible today… It’s beautiful and wonderfully crafted… It feels a lot different than my calfskin black pearl psq… I love them both the same… I really think that these two Bibles will last me for the rest of my life. Thank you Jesus 🙏

Just received this beautiful Bible. This is to be Christmas present for my husband. Very readable. He has other Bibles but they are showing much wear. I am sure he will be very pleased with this Bible.

This was my first premium Bible purchase and I couldn’t be more impressed. I’m hooked. The second I had the Bible in my hands I knew it was special. The quality is unmatched and attention to detail is beautiful. I can’t wait to purchase more for my family

I finally decided on and ordered the Schuyler NKJV personal size Quentel Bible in Imperial Blue and I just received it. All I can say is WOW!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!!! It is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!! I am almost at a loss for words as to how beautiful it is!!! I will treasure it always!!!
I WAS initially a little hesitant on ordering the Imperial Blue as I was afraid it might possibly be a little TOO blue for a Bible. I’m not sure if there are slight variations in the coloring of the goatskin covers but mine came as a deep navy blue (darker in color than the photo on the website). I LOVE the color!! Very reverent (in my humble opinion) and completely appropriate for covering and protecting Gods precious word!!!! The craftsmanship is absolutely superb!!! Beautiful paper and print. 10 out of 10!!!!! If you’re on the fence about this Bible, just order it! You will not be disappointed!!!! Worth EVERY penny!

This is an update to my previous review, April 27th 2020.
I recently noticed variation in the print quality of the red letters in the gospel of Matthew. It’s just 3 pages in the gospel, but the letters are light pink and difficult to read. I was so shocked and saddened to discover this.
The bible is so perfect in every other way, it makes it all the more disappointing that Schuyler cannot get something as elementary as print consistency correct. I would have paid another 100 dollars just to get the print quality along with everything else this bible delivers.
As it is, I now feel I overpaid for what is essentially a substandard bible. I would have been disappointed to have print inconsistency in a 20 dollar bible, never mind a 200 dollar one. If parts of the printing are illegible, what is the point of the goat skin and all the other trimmings?
It makes me thing twice about Schuyler and about premium bibles in general. I feel betrayed. There are all these glowing reviews online and it seems an industry of writers who get their copies for free–for an “honest review”–and give glowing recommendations without considering that for people who may only ever purchase a couple of premium bibles in their lives, one flaw in the printing can spoil the whole experience.
I had been avoiding “made in China’ and making a point to order from printings from the US or Europe, and yet, I have only ever seen decent quality of printing at a decent price from China, where as it seems the Europeans consider themselves above quality control such to let shoddy work pass through to customers, even those willing to pay a premium such as to get the best possible quality. I feel taken advantage of. I feel like Schuyler thinks I am stupid enough that I will accept poor quality printing as long as it’s bound in a pretty leather cover. I feel like someone at Schuyler must have known there was an issue with the print machine, and some batches were likely spoiled, but that instead of re-printing they went ahead and dumped the bibles into the market confident that fools like me would buy them and then not notice the poor printing until it was too late.
I was planning to buy a full sized Quentel and other translations from Schuyler but I will no longer make those purchases. I also plan to take the advice and recommendations from bloggers and You Tubers with a pinch of salt. (Yes, I am stupid and naive to have taken their recommendations at face value. I will consider the 200 dollars I wasted to be a cheap tuition fee contributing to my Masters Degree in Learned Cynicism from the University of Life. )

This Bible is the perfect size for traveling around or sitting in the living room with. The perfect size to go to church with! I have a few other very nice bibles but this one is by far the best of them. Will for sure be my go to for the word of God.

First of all, the blue goatskin was not my first choice , but the black goatskin sold out before I could make up my mind. I have to say, I didn’t know what to think about readability at first BUT in a couple of weeks I have gotten used to it. It is slowly becoming my favourite Bible given the fact that it is red-letter, has note paper , is very portable and beautiful to hold and read from. Thanks to the folks at EVB and to Schuyler for a superb offering .

Firstly, amazing service from Evangelical Bible. The bible was shipped to me internationally within days, and in perfect condition.
Next, the bible itself is a masterpiece–a work of art. The blue goat skin cover is beautiful. It’s soft to the touch, with a wonderful luxurious look and smell. It’s stitched around the edges, and the attention to detail is obvious on first sight. If I was being picky, on of the stitches is a little off in that there is a small loose thread and on the other side one of the bumps sticks out a bit. It’s a tiny point but it means the cover gets 9/10 rather than 10/10.
The paper is also luxurious. It’s thin and yet opaque. The printing is clear and the font is easy to read. The layout is clear and uncluttered thanks to the copious references being printed at the foot of each page.
Line matching greatly reduces ghosting. The bible is a joy to hold and to read.
It’s a little smaller than I thought it would have been. If I was being fussy, the perfect size for me would probably sit between the personal and the full sized Quentel.
All in all I highly recommend this bible. I will not hesitate to buy or recommend Schuyler bibles in the future. Well worth the premium price tag. Good job!

This Personal Size Quentel is everything I hoped it would be! My minimum requirements for a carry-around Bible were for 8 pt or larger font and inclusion of cross-references; those are met here. I had hoped the NKJV came in purple, but it did not; however, blue is my favorite color, and I’m thrilled with the Imperial Blue. It arrived in half the time I expected and showed up on a day I was feeling overwhelmed by various circumstances, most beyond my control. I opened up my new Bible and cried – it is SO beautiful(!) and I felt so incredibly blessed! This Bible was a splurge for me, so this portable Word of God is even more dear to me that the Lord blessed me enough to be able to do that. I know from others that Schuyler stands behind their quality products, so I don’t think a “one off” that was easily rectified should reduce the number of stars, but that’s just my opinion.

I’ve now had my Personal Size Quentel for five months and it’s just beyond a joy to read. It matches the pages of my standard size Quentel in the same translation. I love having both, as the larger one is cumbersome to take to church. I was concerned the font would be difficult to read, as other small size bibles are, but the font and size are perfect.

I exchanged this bible. The copy that I received had variation in the red lettering. Some pages were bold, beautiful and easy to read, some pages were much lighter. The bible was still nice, but I decided that I wasn’t going to be happy with the variation. I exchanged it for an ESV PSQ that doesn’t have red letters.

This NKJV personal size Quentel is my new favorite of the several Bibles that I own. (I’m trying to acquire enough quality bound Bibles to leave all my children and grandchildren one of mine.) I use all of them from time to time, but I think this one will be my go-to Bible unless I’m reading at my table, and certainly the one I most often carry to church. It is truly a work of art in every sense, and very readable for such a compact edition.
I knew what to expect, because I had purchased the PSQ in the NASB translation for one of my sons when it was published. My biggest concern had been that the 8.5 pt type size would be too small for my vision, but unlike some fonts of that size, it was very readable.
The blue goatskin is beautiful, and of course the layout is the same as the full size Quentel. The paper is not quite as thick but it’s still good. The red letters are nice and dark. This is just a wonderful edition of God’s word.
I also preordered two of the PSQ calfskin NKJV to give as gifts, and they are just as lovely.
