I just received my absolutely gorgeous firebrick red ESV Quentel. The newest additions to this translation I have to rave about. I just love the 2016 Permanent text of the ESV. The paper is perfect with the line matching along with the amazing lay out of the Quentel series. I have other translations of Quentels and the goatskin on this one is a little bit more softer or floppier. The Raised Spines are so cool, they add so much to the look of the Bible. One last thing, when I open this classy red Bible the red under gold pages and red ribbons and red accents in the text and red edging of goatskin all match! I will enjoy it for years.
If I could have one change I would make it Red Letter. Of course the real beauty is what is contained within this goatskin. Thank you Evangelical Bible.

I am a second owner of a firebrick red ESV Q. Although red is probably not my first choice in color, I am actually quite pleased with the red, which is a bit darker shade, matching the red art gilt and the 3 ribbons. The best part of the Q is the text which is extraordinarily clean and crisp. The paper is sufficiently thick that there isn’t any significant bleed through, I could read without disruption and concentrate on the words. A few issues I have are: I’m not used to the references at the bottom making finding them not easy, the glue of the cover to the textblock is very thick, hence opening at Genesis or Revelation, it doesn’t lie flat. Anyone purchasing this bible should be aware of its large size and weight.

I bought the ESV Quentel firebrick red bible, they have addressed the concern I had when I purchased my NASB Quentel 1st edition 4 years ago. It is much slimmer and the leather feels better to me could have been my copy. The thickness makes this a joy to read and the red verses in the bottom reference turned out to be much nicer for me, it is easier to pick out the verses. It is so pretty I am hesitant to mark it up. I will though as this bible is built to be used.

I purchased the Schuyler ESV Quentel in firebrick red when it first came out. I frequently use it for my devotional reading. Being the “grandson” of the ASV, it reads almost identical to the former but more understandable in modern English. The red goatskin cover is gorgeous, and everything about it from the way it opens up flat either in your hand or on a surface to the beautiful stitching around the edges speaks of it’s quality. The red chapter numbers and cross references are perfect, and I love the abundance of cross references, they are fantastic. I do wish they would publish a red letter edition as I prefer the Lord’s words to be in red. But all in all, it is a fantastic bible in modern English and I use it daily.

How much do I love the Quentel series? So much so that this is my second ESV Quentel, the first one was an antique brown and now I own the firebrick red as well. This is in my opinion the best all-around bible on the market. The paper is fabulous and the layout is perfect. The color is just absolutely gorgeous! So very happy I purchased this one for my collection. This is a very exciting time, Schuyler is planning a KJV Canterbury and they have plans for a new printing of the ESV credo with confessions, just awesome. I would absolutely for them to try a thinline series bibles, but with a Schuyler spin to it. I can’t wait to see what other products Schuyler will come up with next!

My Quentel has arrived and it is gorgeous! The Youtube reviews don’t do it justice! It is a darker red than anticipated. It is a good size for a reading Bible and the workmanship is top-notch. I’m going to have a lifetime’s pleasure in reading it.
My one grip would be that the ends of the ribbons could have been tidied up (something others have commented on.) Nevertheless as my first experience of Schuyler it is ‘love at first sight’!

WOW! What a great Bible! Thanks to Schuyler for making such a wonderful and high quality Bible. I have several high end Bibles and this one takes the cake. The first thing I noticed is that the goat skin is just beautiful. The other thing that just jumps out at you is how beautiful and readable the text is. Clearly, a lot of thought has gone into design of this Bible. It is awesome!

My Schuyler Quentel ESV blows my Cambridge Clarion out of the water. The page thickness is perfect, the font size is a welcome respite, the use of red is classy . . . this Bible is wonderful in every way. Pretty soon after I got it I pre-ordered the NASB Quentel 2nd Edition, as I prefer the NASB translation. I have recommended the Bible to many people, and continue to highly cherish it. I know it’ll last until my grandkids, and I thank you for doing such a phenomenal job.

Second Quentel Bible out, the first being the NASB. This Bible with larger print and best quality paper in any Bible except the NASB Quentel. Was afraid the bleed through would be worse because of slightly lighter paper was used for this Bible. However not a problem. I will not buy anymore super thin Bibles with cheesy thin paper again. Standard text blocks with the thin paper just don’t get it for me. Now that I have seen good quality text blocks other Bible manufacturers need to follow suit. Tired of breaking in a new Bible that takes much time. The Quentel Bibles need no break in to separate the pages. Thanks Schuyler for this series. Already looking for your next Quentel edition. Just keep the paper at least as thick as the ESV Quentel Bible. Hope it is the KJV or the ESV version secondly.
Thanks Evangelical Bible for your terrific service and help.
