I am beyond happy with the purchase of the slate Schuyler ESV Quentel. Superb construction and the attention to detail in the selections of paper, leather, binding, and layout are greatly appreciated. I was a little worried about the thickness of the paper but after using it, the worries quickly disappeared.
Evangelical Bible made the ordering a breeze and I received the shipment within a couple days of ordering. Already made a second purchase and there will be more to follow I’m sure.

I had wanted a Bible for reading and preaching that had a bit larger print for both the text and the cross references. I had looked at Evangelical Bibles on several occasions. While attending a small denominational meeting the other week the guy sitting next to me had one. I thumbed through it, looked at the clear, crisp print, and ordered one that moment. Slate was the only available color, but I like it. The print is very readable for my eyes and the cross references are so much better than what Crossway has for their ESV Bibles. I understand that the paper is a bit thinner than previous editions. I wouldn’t have minded if the pagers were a tiny bit thicker, but they are hardly thin. The cover is exceptional. All in all a very good purchase for a Bible that should last me until I’m senile. 🙂

Amazing I bought this being hesitant on the price but I love it it is worth it

This bible is stunning. The moment I held it in my hand that was the word that popped into my head.

The feel is extraordinary. The way it opens in the hand is remarkable. The calfskin feels soft, the grain adds texture I’ve never felt in a Bible.

Text is easy to read, the 11 point text size stands out boldly. The paper is remarkable, the binding like none I’ve ever experienced in a Bible.

I can only say I wish I had bought this bible at the beginning of my walk with God.

I learned to cherish God’s Word, and this bible packages it in quality unsurpassed.

I bought this bible commemorating a special life event and had it embossed reflecting that event.

I am life-long Amateur Astronomer, and the International Astronomical Union named an Asteroid after me, 75972Huddleston.

This is intended to become a family heirloom and what better choice could have been made than a Schuyler?

This is a wonderful Bible in many ways. Obviously the page layout and binding are the best in the business. Nobody can beat the quality of a Jongbloed binding. However, I have two issues with this newest printing. First is the page thickness. 28gsm paper for a Bible of this quality is just too thin and fragile. It becomes difficult to turn and the ghosting is definitely more noticeable. It can’t take any writing – even underlining is problematic. I understand it’s the best paper that money can buy (titanium pigmentation and all), but I find it too thin for a premium Bible. I have the 36gsm version in green goatskin and it’s much preferred. It’s bulkier but the pages have more rigidity with definitely less ghosting. The only other flaw I noticed was very poor line matching. Almost one third of my edition is off by half a line space. It’s very distracting. Do I still consider Schuyler to be the best Bibles on the market? Yes, I do! Will I still buy more of them? Not any that have 28gsm paper.

This new, slimmer, sleeker version of the Quentel is amazing! I was debating whether to go with the Green one with the green ribbons, or this one. I have to say, I really like the slate goatskin and love that this edition does not have the usual Jerusalem cross on the front. It really gives this bible a clean, simple look. Couple that with red under silver art-gilting and this is a very modern feeling bible, yet with a nod to the past. I love it!

The paper quality is great. There is minimal ghosting and the font is super easy to read. I really like the detailed, modern looking maps that are included in the back, as well as the map index! The concordance is one of the largest I have seen in a bible and the cross references are easy to use, and the font size they are in makes them easy to read.

You can’t go wrong with a Schuyler and I highly recommend this edition!
