Excellent and prompt customer service by EB as usual. Love the Bible. I am a NKJV guy and have always prefer the VBV layout. So I bought this Bible knowing it is a not a VBV layout but yet I was so pleasantly surprised by the text block that I fell in love with it straight.

I wish I had not bought other types of NKJV and dived straight to this from the initiation of my journey to replace my well used NKJV earlier.

I received this bible as a gift from my wife. It is a gift that I will cherish and use for the rest of my life. It is very easy to read. I love it!

I recently received my KJV slate by Schyuler now I can’t wait to order the NKJV Schyuler in Slate…

I just received my new Schuyler Slate NKJV Quentel. I absolutely love it. The quality is superb as one would expect from Schuyler. The color scheme is brilliant and striking but still conservative. The improvement in this edition is very apparent concerning the smaller footprint made possible from the 28gsm paper as compared to the 36gsm. This makes the Bible much better suited for all around reading and travel. Opacity is outstanding. The most “readable” of any bible I’ve ever owned. I highly recommend this edition regardless of preferred translation. The NKJV is my favorite translation due to flow and richness of the readings and the footnotes highlighting differing text types. Highly recommended!

Wow………. this slate is insane. I wasn’t a big fan of the brick red nkjv I bought(just not my color preference but got an imperfect sale one, it’s too much like a red Ferrari type of thing) but all the colors together made it work ok. Now for the slate, it is out of this world. It’s like a gray with black specks and with the red under silver gilt with the red inside it’s really amazing. It’s low key and so so nice. I like browns and low key earth tones and this fits my preference very well. The ribbon placement is a little off they overlap a little but doesn’t bother me, still a tank. This was also a imperfect sale one with the gilt line off a little.
Now for the book block, being my second nkjv Quentel I compared them side by side and the red letter variation it’s about the same. It goes from the best dark brick red color you could dream of then tones down to a regular red then darkens back to brick and so on. I gave it a 4 star on the other review but after some time with it I’m fine with it. Also worth noting I like the cooler white 28 gsm paper on this better than the creamier 36 gsm on the Canterbury. This paper is easier to read and pops off the page better in artificial light indoors than the Canterbury and makes the letters seem more bold (even though the boldness is the same). So all and all it’s stunning, a masterpiece, and such a blessing to have. If I could nitpick I’d like a black letter text, a bolder font, and a little smaller overall foot print with a tiny bit smaller size text would be ok to make that happen(a size right in the middle of the psq and the Quentel with maybe a 10 font). I think the new Treveris might hit a couple of those marks but I prefer double column. Thanks to everyone involved in these amazingly built bibles.

I always feel compelled to write a review even when all that can be said has been said. This is an amazing Bible I also have the NKJV in antique marble goatskin. The leather smells amazing. This has more of a grain than the antique marble but, I would not say it has deep grains, more of a pebble grain. The color scheme is amazing. I have always had red under gold but this silver is beautiful. Truly Schuyler in my opinion is the best Bible publisher in the world. They excel in every category and have paid attention to the finest details such as the head and tail bands even matching the slate color. Also in my opinion the Schuyler Quentel is the most readable Bible on the market. Originally I was only going to use the Quentel for reading but with the verses in bold I can easily find the verse I am preaching on. Great job Schuyler!!

I absolutely love this Slate Quentel! I bought the previous printing on 36gsm but sold it as it was a bit too cumbersome for me. This one is much easier to hold when reading. The slate with the red liner and ribbons are beautifully done. The color looked too light grey in pictures but looks better in person. My favorite bible out of many. Only one thing could make it better in my opinion and that’s if the goatskin was as buttery soft as my last one.

I have had my Schuyler NKJV Quentel in the slate goatskin leather for several weeks now. I have been looking for the perfect Bible to be my personal “reading” companion and this Bible is perfect. By far, it is the finest quality Bible I have ever owned. I have purchased Schuyler Bibles for my children and grandchildren and I intend to continue to do so until they all have one they can call their own, but up until now, I didn’t have one personally. I will not be using this Bible as my carry along to church Bible, or when participating in Bible studies. It is my quiet time in the Word “reading” Bible because it is such a beautiful Book in every respect and I don’t want to mark it up like I have and do in my studying Bibles!! Thank you Schuyler for presenting God’s eternal Word in such an appropriate and beautiful way!!

Wow, this is the best Schuyler Bible that I have ever owned! I love this slate color.
I’ve never seen such an awesome leather on a bible than this Slate Goatskin. The red under silver page gilting, along with the red calfskin leather liner is the perfect combination.
Having owned the first edition in Marble brown, there is no noticeable difference in paper quality between first and second printings. The leather is noticeably thinner in this edition.
Overall, I highly recommend the Schuyler NKJV Bible, especially the Slate Goatskin.

love this color combo, the slate is more gray and with the red liner and ribbons it looks great. It is the same thickness as the personal size NKJV. So I was surprised, I thought it would have been bigger/thicker. I really like this bible. I had the last printing and returned it for the personal size, because I thought it was to thick and brick like. sooo glad it did, this one fits what I was looking for. Now I have the personal size for travel, and this one to teach from.
