The Treveris is a unique typesetting from Schuyler that seeks to give the Bible reader a format that is free of human commentary, i.e. without subheadings, references, etc., but at the same time remains practical for Bible study. The text itself is free from callers, subheadings, and numbers, but verse and chapter designations are available in the margins, with subheadings in the header.

I’d watched a few You Tube clips on this Bible and knew this was to be the format as well as the quality I was seeking. For a few years I’ve had the pleasure of owning a Crossway Premium Bible with a two column format – excellent for reference and study; now I wanted a reader of the same quality. Well I am not disappointed! It reads like a novel; it is well proportioned to hold (not too fat- which I was concerned about); The goatskin binding is as good as the Crossway, and all that discussion about the raised Oxford Hollow all amounts to nothing once you own one. The colour is a nice deep green so that in a low light it almost looks black. The pages are thin and opaque and when comparing to the Jongboud Crossway, the Schuyler has a darker font making it easier to read even though it has the same font size. All in all I am very happy to own this Bible and highly recommend it for those wanting a reader to complement their reference Bible. Service from Evangelical Bible was top notch and delivery to Tasmania through Fedex took just a week and a half!

Excellent bible from Schuyler. Soft goatskin and green! The font and spacing between sentences make this easily readable for those of us getting on in years.

I do believe this could be an outstanding bible with a few changes. Remove the concordance and maps. Would make a first rate slim line edition easily held by older hands.

This is my first ever Schuyler and I love the Treveris layout. I have had it for the past few days and reading it is so enjoyable. And I never had a green leather Bible before and i am blown over. Thank you for bringing this in and I am sure this will not be my last Schuyler.

I can honestly say, there is not one thing I’d change about the Treveris. I always take time to evaluate my purchase out of the box, but I knew the second it hit my hand it was not going back. It’s Schuyler’s best layout to date, and I can see myself using this Bible for a long, long time.

Magnificent! Best green goatskin I’ve seen from Schuyler. Feels great in the hands. Superb layout. Love the brown liner. A joy to read. Strong contender for best bible ever. And the spine is fine.

For many, the ideal (maybe “dream”?) Bible from Schuyler would would truly be a combination of: 1) An ESV 2) larger than the PSQ text block, while smaller than the full sized Quentel and 3) a Full Yapp. I have to start this review by mentioning the fact that it is amazing to own such a bible that meets all three of these. This bible looks as good as it is displayed in the pictures and then some. It truly is impressive! The font itself is very bold and legible – enjoyable for reading through a whole epistle in one sitting or larger portions anywhere else in the Bible. The only two things that I was not a fan of that are worth mentioning is 1) I wish the Jerusalem Cross was centered without the Full Yapp taken into consideration. When the yapp is trained it makes the Jerusalem cross appear off-centered in reference to the perimeter tooling 2) I am not a fan of the visible parallel lines running from top to bottom on the spine. It appears to be something between the spine of the textblock itself and the goatskin spine that is leaving this impression along the visible spine. The 2021 ESV PSQ that I use daily has an impressive, smooth, slightly rounded spine that I was anticipating on this bible. These two complaints are still far outweighed by it’s positive features and benefits, so much that I would still give it 4 stars.

Schuyler has just added perfection to the inerrant, infallible Word! Absolutely gorgeous, a refined pleasure to hold and read. The “icing on the cake” is evbible’s reliable customer service and commitment to quality, with both their Bibles and their customer service.
