You just have to see it and hold it in person. The size is perfect in hand. The text while smallish is still quite readable and bold. The textblock is just a pleasure to read and look at. It just jumps off the page. The way in which these bibles are printed, sometimes the text looks almost 3D to me. The binding feels fairly rugged and the desert camel is just phenomenal to look at. This is my favorite bible I own now and ESV isn’t even my favorite translation.

Love it. I bought two, the Desert Camel and the Olive Green. I was told once if you find the perfect Bible to buy two. So if one gets lost, or damaged you won’t be broken hearted.

Well this is my second Schuyler Bible and my first in Calfskin leather. I do love this size Bible for sure, although I do wish the paper was thicker like many others have also voiced on various platforms. The Bible looks great and does feel great in hand. The ribbons are not the advertised burgundy color, they are just red. The construction of the Bibles is always perfect. It is an outstanding Bible.

Another stunning edition of the ESV.The desert camel calfskin with the burgundy liner and ribbons is my favorite color choice.I find the slightly larger size to be in the Goldilocks realm for a perfect reading experience.The new 8.5 Font reads like a 9.5 to my eyes and jumps off the page.The Line matching on 28 gsm paper is wonderful at eliminating ghosting and seems silky and durable.It has gorgeous Schuyler maps and lined paper.The red under gold art-gilt is flawless and looks fantastic!With raised spine ribs,gold stamping and expert stitching and corner work,this personal size Quentel is the Blessed to have new champion of ESV’s.

This really is as spectacular as others have said. This leather is FAR superior to anything else I have ever seen. It is sturdy, yet supple. The text block of this is perfect for Preaching as well. It is clean and the unique type and spacing causes the words to jump off the page.

Took this particular Bible for a “test drive” (i.e. to Church). Very handy size, akin to a “thinline” from another publisher. Very readable text, even for somebody who needs corrective lenses. Absolutely GORGEOUS leather (I’ve really come to like the Desert Camel, as this is my second Schuyler in that particular calfskin)! Very Highly Recommended!

Schuyler has hit a home run with this new ESV PSQ. The slightly larger size is just right for me—right in the Goldilocks zone. The type is very legible, more so than the smaller version (though the type size is actually the same, I believe).
The desert chestnut calfskin is truly extraordinary. Slightly heavier than other calfskins (at least to my touch), it still opens easily and lays flat without any difficulty. It’s soft to the touch, and smooth, but with enough texture that it’s not slick. Especially when opened in the hand it feels almost a bit grippy—perfect for teaching. And the Burgundy accents are a great match. It leans more toward red than purple, but it’s not bright red—more like an elegant red wine color.
This is an exquisite Bible and I’m very happy with the purchase and Schuyler’s continued pursuit of excellence in printing and binding God’s Word.
