The new and updated Stridon ESV is our same popular verse-by-verse, single column layout but updated with a more opaque 36 GSM paper, substantially wider margins, and 2025 ESV text. Here is a PDF sample. The slightly smaller text accommodates the wider margins while remaining very clear and legible, and bold verse numbers have been added to indicate the start of a new paragraph. Cross references and footnotes are separated at the bottom of the page for ease of use. These modifications result in a Bible that functions as a highly practical edition for note-taking and in-depth study.

I purchased this gorgeous marbled crimson ESV Stridon from someone who purchased it here and ended up not using it. I wasn’t sure at first because of the smaller font and the layout. However, it has become one of my favorite Bibles, if not my favorite. I have written a ton of notes in it without any issues. The 36gsm paper is lovely!!! I wish Schuyler would make more Bibles with the thicker paper (at least maybe a 32gsm). The quality of the paper is superb! It’s a big Bible, but I absolutely love it! The craftsmanship is top notch. I will say that I am really picky and imperfections tend to stand out to me. This one is perfect! Would I love a tad bit bigger font? Sure! But honestly, I’ve gotten used to it. The leather is beautiful and I love the marbling.

Marbled crimson is an amazing color. The 36gsm paper is so much better to use than the 28gsm. I’d have preferred they keep the font size at 10 instead of reducing it; I don’t know of anyone asking for wider margins on this Bible.
The text block on mine sits slightly crooked in the cover when open; you can even see it in the imprint the block makes on the liner, that it’s not perpendicular to the gilt lines. I’ve had a few Schuylers like this recently and don’t like that trend; wish they’d have that fixed with RJ.

I just received mine. Once I unwrapped it, I just had to marvel at this magnificent bible. I own several Schuyler bibles, but this one is special. The color is even more beautiful in person. The changes done to this bible have been exactly what I waited for. Schuyler knocked it out of the park! The materials & detail put into the Bible are incredible. A work of art.

Top quality everything from Schuyler including the most beautiful red cover (loved their Sienna red as well). Knocked a star off because the redesign doesn’t work for me. When comparing to my wife’s original Stridon, the “slight reduction” in font size was the difference between comfortable and uncomfortable. And, beware of how the size reduction affects the references at the bottom. That reduction, for me, took the text from easily readable to barely readable. I know many will love the new format and that’s great, but I want a Stridon, not a wide margin, and that’s basically what the update has become. Will return and try to grab original format.

This is the 15th Schuyler Bible that I have purchased over the years. And I have to say it is one of my favorites.
It has all the great features Schuyler is famous for and has notched those up a bit.
Whichever color you choose, you will not be disappointed.
