The Allan NASB Readers Edition is a large format Bible using The Lockman Foundation’s double column verse-by-verse setting in the 1995 text edition, printed by Jongbloed in The Netherlands on 36gsm PrimaBible paper.
Bound in highest quality natural grain goatskin, this beautiful Bible is lined in Meriva natural grain calfskin with a generous semi-yapp, gilt line round the inside of the case, art gilt page edges and three 10mm wide ribbon markers. It includes Allan’s 8pp Presentation Page and Family Record, Concordance, full colour Maps and 32 pages of lined writing paper.

Received my Allan NSAB R1 in green goatskin Readers Reference Edition. It feels so good in hand,love the pages there is very little ghosting coming through. The pages feel strong when turning them. Love the red under gold. The leather lined looks like one solid piece, impressive. Never have owned a Bible with a yap before I like it a lot kind of protects the pages a bit.The type 10 pt works very nicely for me. It is a beautiful bible, can’t keep my hands off it.

I have owned this edition in red, brown, and blue from the past. The cover of those cannot compare to this one. It is much supple, soft, buttery. While I have enjoyed those as well as Schuyler Bibles, I have never felt a cover like this one. I had planned to give it away, but will keep it because I believe it’s a once in a great while cover…the absolute best. 36 gsm paper is wonderful in all the covers.
