While I am highly in love with this Bible. I guess I thought for 310 dollars perimeter stitching, would be standard across the board of Bibles of its caliber. Fantastic leather, fantastic most everything. Just beware, gilt bleeding is common for antiquarian speckled edges, it sorta comes with the territory I imagine but altogether not a bad thing, just something to be aware of. Its super flat right out of the box but will still require breaking in to get that comfy smooth feel to it with the pages. I only give it 4 stars due to the lack of perimeter stitching and also the inside binding page isn’t also leather lined as you would find in a Schuyler. It just raises longevity concerns and quality issues if you ask me. I’m sure its fine, not all publishers are the same. This is my first Allan, so I am pleased all the same.
