I have really enjoyed this smaller size for carrying and for not taking too much room on a crowded table. Crossway has really improved their heirloom line with this version of the Alpha.
The Good:
-The 8 point font is still easy to read despite being small.
-I love the color of their mahogany calfskin. It has a similar floppiness to some of my goatskin Bibles.
-Ghosting is minimal, on par with others in this price range.
-There is plenty of room to keep the inner text out of the gutter.
-The formatting and layout are similar to the last generation Quentel, which I prefer (especially the bolder verse numbers).
-The ribbon quality and size are very nice.
Area to improve:
-There are many single word lines in the Poetic Books. I wish Crossway would divide the words in a verse more evenly per line.
-The construction is excellent overall but the inside corners of the cover could have been done more neatly on my particular example. This is only a very minor issue.
I am very satisfied and would recommend this to anyone looking for a smaller format Bible.
