My first copy had some paper and printing issues but I was able to swap it out for another and it has been fine. Basically a cheaper version of the omega so I can carry this one without worrying as much about messing it up. The top grain leather has a nice look and feel to it.

First, I can’t say enough how good the service is at Evangelical Bible! I ordered on Wednesday and my bible was delivered on Friday. I talked with several employees before I made my decision which bible I was going to buy, and they were very helpful and patient with all my questions.
The bible is actually smaller than I expected. I’ve flipped through it several times and it does have some pages stuck together. Also, it does have print variations. Not too bad but they’re apparent when flipping through. Honestly, this can be expected with the most expensive bibles on the market. The font size is good, it’s not a Quentel, but it’s good. The leather is some of my favorite of any bible I’ve had. One of my worries was that it was going to be too floppy but because of it’s thin size it’s not hard to handle at all. It’s extremely comfortable to hold and read. The Top Grain Leather is amazing! It has the most wonderful grain and texture. If you’re looking for a good reading bible that’s not too expensive, this is it!

Great customer service! When this bible arrived, it had two defects from the manufacturer. Evangelical Bible allowed me to return the bible and sent a free replacement — no questions asked. The replacement bible was beautiful and in perfect condition!

The best Bible you can find for this price! I actually prefer the top grain leather to Goatskin! If I ever need to buy someone a Bible for a gift, there is no doubt that this is the Bible I will get Everytime!

I just got mine in the mail. A nice bible until
You open the cover then the leather is wrapped around and left unfinished. It really looks bad and cheap. I’m sending it back for a refund

4 stars for price. The high points are as follows: the cover is soft and flexible and has a leather liner which might be bonded. The color is a rich chocolate brown. Nice hubs on the spine and decent gold gilted lettering. This Bible lies flat right out of the box. The paper Crossway told me is 30 gsm. The print is fairely dark and line matched. The gilting on page edges is okay. Layout and features are the same as all LP thinline of this model whatever leather or cover is used. The negatives: cheap ribbon and headbands. Fit and finish is mediocre 8n some regards. This Bible is tabbed to the block. But end sheets glued over this are not well squared. There are vertices lines on the tab I have never seen before and appear machined or mechanical. It is prineed in China which though improving is at best okay. But it is price to value where this Bible shines. 88USD including shipping is very good for what you get. At 150 or even 125 I would not be happy. But this Bible makes a perfect gift Bible to a not Premium Bible aware person. Slender, flexible, and attractive. It smells good too!

I will start out explaining the 1 star missing and then move on to how great this bible is. My only complaint is that the calfskin edges that are overlaying inside are cut poorly. It catches the first cover pages and bends them. Im sure this isnt the case for every one made so I will let it go. I bought this for my wife for Christmas. I am an avid KJV reader. I wish they made a KJV like this. The layout is great and easy to read. The binding and cover is great minus the one flaw I mentioned. If only I could request Crossway to make. KJV just like this.lol

I recently bought this Bible from EB, and I found that it was even nicer than I expected! I am really pleased with the suppleness and smoothness of the very dark brown leather. It feels really good to hold. Flexible, lies flat easily. I love the “old-world” look of the spine hubs. The pages are thin enough to minimize weight, but thick enough to be strong. Ghosting is no worse than with most Bibles, and the line matching compensates nicely for that anyway. Type is dark and clear, and large enough for easy reading. The type on the reference notes is pretty small, but if I can manage it, I think most folks can. VERY good value. Hard to find this many features at EB’s price!

I would have loved to have given 5 stars to this Bible and would have had it not been for some minor quality flaws. I’ll speak of them first and then give my overall impression of it. On examining the front cover I noticed two small slits – one on the inside of the front cover and the other on the brown protective page directly opposite the other cut. It looks as if some machinery did the damage. The other defect(s) were several crumpled and pressed pages at their top near the very front of the Bible and the paper is too thin to attempt straightening them. I figured this damage and perhaps the cuts were caused by the same machine in binding the Bible. After examination I decided to keep the Bible rather than send it back for it was minor damage that nobody would see other than myself. I’ve even had my name embossed on the front cover. Crossway should be made aware of my problem so they can look for like damage in others.
This is the darkest brown leather I’ve seen and I love it. The size is outstanding and the font is large enough for me to read sans my glasses. It has the feel of a much more expensive Bible and lies flat throughout right out of its box.
Cannot say enough nice about it and it will serve me well as the Bible I will take to church and on trips.

I received this bible in the mail today. Let me say that I recently saw this same bible at two different christian bookstores, and although I was impressed by the ones I saw, the actual top-grain leather cover I examined in store was rather inferior to the one I purchased from EB. Enen though this is the exact same bible, this bibles top grain cover has almost a buffalo grain look and feel, is actually thicker, and seems in general much nicer. The ones in store were almost smooth on the surface and did not appear natural top grain, and had analmost artificial look. Not only that but they were asking full price…almost $140! If any one is interested in this fine bible reading this review, for almost half the ‘in-store’ price $84, you can purchase this from EB and IMHO you will receive a superior product. I dont know how EB does this, but it is almost as if it was made with real natural top grain…it is literally a better cover. I really am impressed. Thanks and may God be with you.

I just got this Bible in from EB about a week ago and after spending some time with it and even preaching from it i think I can give a quick review of this Bible. Ill just break it down into categories to make it easy…
PAPER- This paper is thin in this bible but very white! This bible has what they call “line matching” which means that a line on one side of the page matches on the other side of the page. You can tell this very well with this bible, the paper is thin, but there is no hardly much “bleed through” at all.
FONT/TEXT- This is a large print bible.. and you can tell it! The font is awesome, very easy to read and very large. Great for poorly lit places and even well it places to give your eyes a break. One of the downsides I found with this bible (there aren’t many) was that the text seems very cramped on the page.Sometime it feels as though you can’t find the seperation in verses or verse numbers. I understand that to make it a true “thinline” bible that was a tough task but there are times when the text just has no room to breathe on the page. Which in turn doesn’t leave hardly any margin space at all. But then again, this is a Large Print, Reference bible, which is super awesome. So you not only have large print but also cross references as well. The cross references are located at the bottom right of each page. I don’t seem to have any problem with this at all and i think it works out well.
SIZE- Crossway nailed it here, it is truley a thinline bible. It is longer and widered than the orginal thinline but with this bible (the Top Grain Edition) can fold up in your hand like a newpaper no problem. This is one of the strongest areas of this Bible.
BINDING/LEATHER- This is a funny area. Crossway has been getting better and better at their Premium calfskin editions and with this bible they offer a “Top Grain Leather”. The deep brown is the perfect color brown very nice with gold imprenting on the spine.
The Top Grain is soft…. but not calfskin soft. In some cases it almost feels “thin” and “low quality” twoard the yapp ends. Don’t get me wrong the binding is great and much softer than your average bible, which in turn make for a great bible.
The strongest area for this bible I belive is the LAY FLAT quality of this bible. Right out of the box from Gen 1 to Rev 22 this Bible lay completley flat. I am talking as flat as my Cambridge Wide Margin bible. For me that is a HUGE plus, to already have a bible that is soft and lays flat, right from the start is half the battle! It really is great how flat this bible lays.
Overall this bible is great and at $84 there isn’t a bible out there that can touch it. Buy this Bible, Read this Bible and Enjoy this Bible!
