   First of all. What can I say but “WOW-WEE !!!
   &
   I find The Black Pearl Canterbury Calfskin to be as supple as the Goatskins.
   The leather liner is a must-have.
   I love the fact that this Bible as the Epistle Dedicatory & Translators to the Readers.
   This too, is a must-have for a KING JAMES VERSION.
   The Black Pearl color with the blue under silver art gilt is elegance at it’s finest.
   The blue is reminiscent of the ocean.
   Which goes well with the Bibles name (The Black Pearl).
   The King James Bible.
   God’s Holy word, is as vast as the deep blue sea.
   I also love the corners, done to perfection.
   The silver embossing adds to the ellagance to the Bible.
   I also love the rich blue colored ribbons.
   The presentation pages are the best I have ever seen in a personal Bible.
   The King James Glossary of terms is a great addition too.
   The full yapp is truly perfect.
   Not to much, not to little .
   And it’s nice to have lined note page’s as well.
   Lastly, the clam shell box is just another way to add to the prestige of this glorious King James Bible.

   I have owned many top quality King James Bible’s.
   From Schuyler, Cambridge, R.L.Allen, Humble Lamb, and Church Bible. Publishers.
   I just have to say this Black Pearl Canterbury is the very best of all that I have ever had.
   This Bible will be my forever Bible.
   I can truly say that the Lord has blessed me with His word and this peticuler KJV.

   If I’m correct I bought my Schuyler Canterbury KJV , Full Yapp Black Pearl Calfskin Bible 2/19/2023 waited about two weeks give or take . I was very impressed when I received it . It was just beautiful, the calfskin is perfect , the paper is so soft in my opinion like butter lol. The Art Gilt Edging ( blue under silver) is perfect never seen or ever owned anything like it. The Font is perfect for me , the size of the Bible is also a good size the personal size is to small for my liking . The maps are also very nice and informative as well. Over all I give it an A+ . Will be buying another Schuyler soon. Thanks to Tim Wildsmith review on YouTube was my reason for buying this Bible .

   I received my Black Pearl Canterbury a few days ago. I love this Bible. Obviously, it has some things I dislike about it; but mostly, I am pleased. I finally wanted to try a Schuyler Bible and decided on the Canterbury since the KJV is my main translation. I will say this though; the paper is too thin. They should have gone with a 30 or 32gsm. A Bible this large should have no less than 32gsm paper in my view. But that’s my personal opinion and does not factor into this review. Another thing that does however, is the constant breakup of paragraphs with headings at the beginning, which I think is distracting as it makes me constantly accidentally read the headings since the title headings are not color coded. Also, the drop caps are too large in size. I would have rather seen smaller ornate drop caps instead because I can forget to read the first letter in the drop cap. Other than that, this Bible is exquisite in every word. The leather is wonderful and is truly a full yapp. Like I said though, the paper should be 30 or 32gsm with no paragraph titles and smaller drop caps. Other than these I have no complaints. I am happy with my purchase but hope Schuyler will read this and slightly increase the gsm. Weaker paper generally means a weaker binding as the paper will rip through the sewn binding easier over time. Anyways, hope this review helps. Just know that if you’re not used to 28gsm paper, it may be a little off putting at first. I just can’t understand making an exquisite binding and then giving us weaker paper that rips with the wrong page turn motion. If Schuyler would fix these issues, this would hands down be the best kjv on earth that money could buy; but the Allan 53 and 52 still holds the crown, mostly due to the paper gsm.    I received my KJV Canterbury Full Yapp Black Pearl Calfskin Bible. What a Beautiful Bible. A state of the art premium Bible. Soft leather feel. Beautiful Black Pearl Tone on cover. Silver over blue gold edges stands out very well with the black pearl . A treasured Bible to hold onto for along time. Don’t miss out on this Bible before they are home. I’m so glad I made the purchase. I’d say this is one of there best in years. I’d like to see a NASB in this Black Pearl Calfskin that be nice. For now hanging onto this beauty. Most of all the Word of God is most important and to be treasured. Thanks for a job well done on this Bible.

   My Full Yapp schuyler black pearl bible arrived yesterday, im so very happy with it its well made, easy to handle, the leather is nice and soft, and the blue gives it a nice unique touch . Delivery was one week from the U.S. to Australia , and undamaged ,which is incredible considering the times we are in .
   I have several bibles but this one shines, thank you

    My KJV Canterbury Calfskin Bible in Black Pearl with a Full Yapp arrived. The Black Pearl color way (medium gray-blue with dark black-blue color is truly eye catching. The cover is complemented by a navy blue liner and blue under silver art gilt which makes it the most attractive KJV bible I have, sorry R.L. Allan longprimer 53c. With this edition, Schuyler in my opinion has moved into the number 1 position for premium bibles with Cambridge coming in second , Crossway premium editions in third and Allan’s in fourth place. When comparing this Canterbury with Cambridge Turquoise Calf-skin full they are very similar in size and both have two tooled lines on the cover and similar full yapps. The Turquiose’s leather is much much softer (it almost feels like lamb skin). After these similarities., the Canterbury distances itself from the Cambridge starting with its stunning cover, which feels thicker and rugged
    which I like. The gilt line around the navy blue leather liner frames the page with a touch of elegance and red decorative capital letters at the beginning of each chapter adds a classic look. My only faults with the Canterbury are text is missing the alternate words, and the print could be a little darker like the Turquoise.

    Wow. I’m not sure I have words for this one. It’s incredible. It has the beautiful and readable layout of the Canterbury, but this calfskin (at least mine) has grain like a goatskin, it thicker than the regular goatskin but feels a little thinner than the calfskin’s I’m used to. A little thicker than an Allen, quite flexible with a lot of character. I love the marbling the character of this bible. Not to thick, feels great to carry. I’m looking forward to many years with this as my main bible. The workmanship looks and feels solid as usual, so I trust it will hold up to daily use. The charcoal color with the blue ribbons and navy liner and gilding are amazing. I have *no* idea how this could be improved upon. Thank you EV!!!!!!

    I received my KJV Schuyler Black Pearl Full Yapp Bible in just three days from Evangelical Bible. It was securely packaged, arriving undamaged. Schuyler outdid themselves-yet again-with the Black Pearl! This Bible is stunning! The Word of God deserves to be clothed this luxuriously. Although the cover is calfskin, it feels and looks just like goatskin, at least to me. And I own two other Schuyler Bibles, which are goatskin. The marbleling is subtle but distinguishing, sort of like smoke. The navy blue ribbons in conjunction with the cover play well off of each other, especially in the right light. The Schuyler Black Pearl is a work of art, inside and out, that loans prestige to the reading of God’s holy word.

    While I can just as easily order my Bibles through Evangelical Bible’s website, nothing beats speaking to their representatives over the phone instead. They are always so very pleasant, kind, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Thank you all at Evangelical Bible, and God bless!

    Oh man, this is nice… kind of a distressed charcoal color. Mine show a lot of natural leather imperfections but that’s cool. The blue under silver edging and blue ribbons make this a real artful presentation of God’s Word. Now to read it…

    This has to be the nicest and most durable feeling calfskin I’ve held. The marbling is also beautiful and unique. The only issue was that the marbling on my fiance’s copy was nicer, in my opinion, but she will not trade me (this speaks to how unique each one is).

    I have received my KJV Canterbury Calfskin Bible in Black Pearl with a Full Yapp. One Word: Phenomenal. I have owned a litney of high quality premium bibles, whether it be the RL Allens, the Cambridges, the other Schuylers, the Humble Lambs, the Thomas Nelsons, the Church Bible Publishers, the Kirkbride’s old TCR… you name it… I owned it, and even gave so many of them away.
    But this one, with the Black Pearl Calfskin flavor cover, with the silver art gilt over blue, that comes with a full yapp, is just breathtaking. Schyler is truly, in my personal opinion, the Ultimate Premium Publisher among premium publishers. Their latest craftsmanship with the black pearl design is unrivaled. I am just grateful that it came with the KJV translation, the granddaddy of translations.
