I purchased and received my Schuyler Journal in Black Goatskin recently and am well pleased with both the product as well as the professional service that always accompanies any purchase that I make with EVB. The Journal is just the right size to accompany your favorite Bible to Church. I purchased the Journal to write Sermon Notes and Outlines from which I will use in my Preaching Ministry and then leave to my children. I have typed notes and outlines from over 25 years of preaching, but there’s just something about ‘handwritten’ notes that make it more personal and sentimental hoping that they will cherish and be able us use throughout their lives as a devotional and study aid to God’s Word. That’s why I made the purchase. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” 3 John 1:4 (KJV)
The Journal itself is put together in the same quality fashion as we have come to expect from the Schuyler Bibles. They did an excellent job with this Journal. The only thing that I wished were different is that I was expecting the cover to be a little more limber and flexible being goatskin. I realize that it was designed and published with a necessary amount of ‘stiffness’ so as to make writing easier. If it were more limber it would be a bit more challenging to write in if it were not lying on a solid surface. That being said, this is my 1st Journal and haven’t actually written in it yet but I am absolutely convinced that the high quality paper inside will be more than sufficient for the task. This is a very nice Journal. Thank you EVB for making these available!
