Because the creation of leather Bible covers requires a relatively large piece of leather, these journals are crafted from smaller leather pieces that could not otherwise be used for Bible cover-making. Aniline Calfskin reveals the life of the animal in the natural grain, exhibiting pores, healed scars, insect bites, scratches, fat wrinkles, etc. Expect perfect imperfections! This beautiful leather will show marks and stains over time and develop a rich patina with use.
