This is a beautiful Bible and the text block is very readable. I’m adjusting to a bit of “crinkle” reflected in another review but it is SO soft and the color is just what I’d hoped for. It IS different from my goatskin Caxton – naturally – it feels textured but not rough. Love the layout with the footnotes and references at the bottom – so easy to read. I missed the first round of full sized CSB Quentels and have been waiting quite awhile for this – well worth the wait and Evangelical Bible service is top notch!

As usual (for a Schuyler) the overall construction is of very high quality ( I have 10 of them) – the text block is a work of art, great paper, nice bold consistent print. However I am quite disappointed with the leather of the cover – it is very crinkly and rough feeling. I have an NLT PSQ in desert camel and it is one of my very favourites – very smooth and soft. However this desert camel cover is far more ‘crinkled’ in texture, especially when the cover is bent (even slightly) as when holding it open in one hand. I have tried to get used to it for a couple of weeks, but it hasn’t softened up. I wish I had known that there could be such variation in the desert camel covers.
