I have been enjoying Schuyler Bibles since the first Quentel (The Brick). It was time for a new one after 11 years with my Allen, it is still going strong. With age the off white paper and verse by verse format are not the needs now. The font size, brighter white paper, and even the paragraph format reduce eye strain to extend my study sessions.
As a custom leatherworker I went over the construction with a fine tooth comb. The folded corners are well done (not easy), the leather is wonderful with small imperfections as one wood expect from a living animal mine had a small bug bite and wrinkles in the hide due to where the cover was cut from on the hide. Finally the stitching is exceptional it took me a little time to find the double stitches from the start and stop.
For me this Bible is the best of the best (MIB), compared to my Allen’s and Cambridge’s. This is only my opinion.

Absolutely gorgeous Bible. Schuyler hit it out of the park with this one. I’ve looked long and hard and it’s flawless in my opinion. Feels great in the hand. The sumptuous calfskin cover is substantial and exudes quality. The paper feels and looks great tho I’d prefer 36GSM. If you’re on the fence, I’d say buy it. It’s a 10/10. I own several Schuyler’s and this is bound to be my favorite.

Very happy with this Bible. Well made as always. The black Pearl with silver and blue go perfect together. Very sharp looking. The leather feels great. The black Pearl is much lighter color than what I was expecting. I would call it closer to gray than black, although it can look darker in different lighting.

Beautiful and sublime Black Pearl cover which is more like a chameleon! The shade of the color changes with different lighting. It can be as in the website photo or go to a very dark gray. Smooth and kinda slick, the cover has a nice thickness to it. Jongbloed does an excellent full yapp and hand pleated corners. Love the fact that the liner is neither red nor blue, but black. So appropriate. The blue under silver art gilt and navy blue ribbons give this a stunning look!
