I have several Schuyler Bibles this particular one is my least favorite. The cover of calfskin is immaculate. Soft beautiful leather. My dislike is the paper, so very thin there are numerous pages which are wrinkling. I’m careful with my Bibles and you can get a occasional crease or fold. But this is upsetting for a quality Bible.

I waited a year for the NKJV Stridon to come out and just didn’t feel good about any of the color combinations. When I saw the saddle brown with the brown accents in the Quentel I fell in love. This is my 3rd Schuyler and by far my favorite. The leather feels exactly like saddle leather. Maybe because I’m a horse owner it makes it feel familiar hense why I love it so much. But this is my forever Bible. I no longer feel the need to sesrch for “the one,” (unless they come out with a Stridon in this color combo, hint, hint…). The leather is thick and smooth and feels durable. It does scratch easy but the scratches don’t look horrible, they just add character. The color is lighter than they appear in the photos, almost a dark mustardy brown. I absolutely love the coppery brown art gilt. It makes the red letters almost look coppery brown too. I can’t say enough good things about this Bible. Definitely happy with my purchase.
