Douglas Francis –
A great Bible, as always, from Cambridge. I especially appreciate the color difference between verse number and text, the separation between references and translator notes, and that the first letter of a verse is not capitalized if it doesn’t begin a new sentence.
As a pastor and preacher, it’s easy to read and find one’s place in while preaching and teaching.
The only drawback (and to me it’s minor) is that the post script to the NT epistles is included in the text rather than being in italics and separated by a line break. However, each letter ends with the word “Amen”, which serves the purpose of notifying the reader that the letter has ended.
I recommend this Bible heartily.

This is a great Bible, easy to read with a clean layout and 10-point font. It’s a Jongbloed printing (something I also look for) so the quality is definitely there, in finish, binding, and quality of the material.
The concordance type is smaller but the line spacing mitigates that and makes the concordance very readable too. The 28 GSM paper is opaque with the only noticeable show-though being in places where there is no text on the page or there is a book title on the other side (non-readers) side. The map section, which includes a color-coded map index, is great. It’s on a heavier paper that the text pages and with a matte finish, no glossy light-reflection there!
The type is less dark (a good thing) than the Cambridge Turquoise (my former favorite Cambridge) and is easier on my eyes. The Topaz pages are clean with red drop numbers (two lines deep) starting off each book chapter. The NT red-letter seems to be a consistent hue (but black letter only would be just fine by me).
The Topaz is a handy size that I can still manage to carry its 2 lb 5.3 oz (yup, I weighed it) from the parking lot to the church without a rest stop. So a Topaz is way better (IMHO) than a smaller font size “portable” Bible.
BTW, “The Translators to Reader” is also included in the Topaz KJV. I am glad iit has made a return in most KJV printings these days.
The Topaz really deserves five stars!
