A combination of skilled design and the use of a remarkably compact typeface lead to acclaim for the Pitt Minion format in achieving the difficult feat of being both easy to carry and easy to read. The first Pitt Minions were only available in the King James Version but in recent years Cambridge has developed the original concept by creating new Pitt Minion Bibles in a range of modern translations. These are produced using a special digital font which has similar characteristics of compactness and readability to the original typeface.
Now, the KJV Pitt Minion Edition has been freshly typeset using this modern font and current layout, which presents the text in paragraph format. The Bible text is supported by a Reader’s Companion (a cross between a concordance and a dictionary) and 15 newly designed color maps.

This is a wonderful little Bible.
I use this Bible mostly for carrying to church, Bible study, or travel. In fact, I brought it with me to Mexico City earlier this year. The font is small, but very legible due to the line-matching and the lexicon font. The paragraph setting is a great touch as well, even though it deviates from the traditional verse by verse setting. The cross references, reader’s companion, and exquisite maps make this a feature-rich edition in the most portable size. The only thing that would make this volume perfect is an adoption of the paper used in the Heritage Edition Prayer Book/Bible that has gone out of print along with an edge lined construction. Although, that would sacrifice the wonderful thinness of the Pitt Minion. Nevertheless, I do not hesitate to recommend this book.

I’m honored to be the first to review this beautiful little Bible in the brown goatskin. This Bible is immaculate. The red under art gilting is more of a salmon which is easy on the eyes. The print is small but I can read it comfortably due to the clarity of the text and the fact that it’s line matched. Beautiful maps in the back. This has the edge over most soul winning new testaments because it has the complete Bible. My new EDC for sure! Hats off to Cambridge and to evangicalbible.com for supplying us with premium Bibles.
