The Heirloom Heritage from Crossway is arguably the perfect Bible.
The Wellington leather is absolutely gorgeous. The deep rich brown leather is smooth. It is the perfect balance between stiff and soft, and it sits open nicely in one hand.
Inside, the typography is perfect. The line and word spacing is optimized for reading easily. The line matching and font darkness minimize show-through. The cleanness of the text with small verse numbers and footnotes make reading seamless.
Combine that with indopaque paper, and you have a quality print and typography that is unmatched in beauty and readability.
When it comes to translation, the ESV truly captures the English language in an eloquent way. It’s a literal translation that manages to not sound wooden at all. It adheres to the beauty of God’s word.
Sizing is excellent. The Heritage strikes the perfect balance at roughly 6”x9”x1.5”. It carries easily while still being large enough to have a readable font.
