This is a beautifully constructed bible. The paper, ribbons and supple leather all feel high quality and are a pleasure to use while reading. Shipping was fast and the bible arrived in perfect condition. I couldn’t be more happy.

I purchased this Bible @ $125. And returned it as defective, the top of spine allowed your whole finger to be inserted at the head band and the bottom of the spine was much tighter. The entire text block dropped down very close to the edge of the cover, entirely unexceptable for use. Received a cheeky response from customer service and was charged a restocking fee. I had previously purchased the lower priced version and returned being equally disappointed, and used up my one free return. My Bible purchases total seven or eight, I was mostly happy with all other purchases and somewhat disappointed by being charged a restock fee and the lecture from the seller. Have noticed the price drop since my purchase for this item and suspect others were disappointed by this item. I am a reluctant return buyer at this point.

The Thomas Nelson Premier in KJV giant print (12 point) is the same size font as the Schuyler (11 point). The print, binding, paper, and quality are very nice. Well worth the price. I can find no faults or criticism, except if you like the size of the Schuyler font, then get the giant print (the “large print” is more like a 9.5 point font – which is somewhat misleading).

I have owned 2 Schuyler Canterburys and several Cambridge Bibles, Including, The Clarion, Concord, Turquoise and Cameo. I really debated on the Thomas Nelson Premier in KJV when it came out. Just a few things I didn’t care for, the lack of line matching and no red letter ultimately led me to pass. However when they came out with the new brown featuring raised hubs and double sided satin ribbons I bought one for my son. It is totally awesome. This is a great bible. I have absolutely no complaints. If you are on the fence, have no doubts this is truly a top notch premium bible. I love it, and so does my son.

Today Evangelical Bible sent me the Thomas Nelson Premier KJV Comfort Print Bible same day I received my Wide Margin Canterbury to be exact. A great day for bibles!
If you love God’s word on the printed page and want a very easy to read text block in a very comfortable to hold volume of the King James I highly beseech you to get yourself this most surprisingly exquisite presentation of the Holy Scriptures.
I am so amazed by Thomas Nelson’s endeavor in creating this, their first ever premium bible line which has become an absolute favorite of mine. Let’s start from the outside working in. The cover trumpets a quality of craftsmanship that excels right along with Schuyler’s or Allan’s. The leather is characteristic of flexible, squishy thick, smooth, and durable like the skin off an ancient mythological goat.
I really like that there is no title on the front cover. Aesthetically it’s more refined, a simple appeal for minimalism. The gold stamping on the spine is frugal and accented with nice hubs.
The cool thing about this Premier Comfort Print edition is it breaks the mold of not being printed in the Netherlands by Royal Jongbloed which is a sigh of relief. A false belief in the bible buying world is that things from Europe are more superior to that from anywhere else, case in point, the Yugo or Spice Girls. Whichever Chinese printer Thomas Nelson chose to go with has done a very spectacular job of making one of the most perfect bibles to be printed in modern times. Hardly a wild boast, one look at the cover and upon opening it you can tell it was handled with people with mad skills and technologically sound machines to help put together a thing of luxury in your finger tips.
But let’s truly be real here. Yes we can appreciate the physical book itself which is man’s handy work but when God’s inspired word is printed in such a way as to make you want to hold a bible and actually read it then I think it’s by his Spirit that affect people to be drawn to his message of salvation. God may work to spread the gospel of his kingdom in many different forms and by this Thomas Nelson Premier edition he has done just that.
