Justin Wichman (verified owner) –
I’ve purchased 6 Schuyler Quentels (3 personal, 2 normal and 1 wide margin) now and the quality is surpassed by none. Comparing with Cambridge, CSB Handcrafted and others they are truly phenomenal. The most recent version with the ornamental drop caps is by far my least favorite. I purchased it for my 2025 daily driver with the expectation that it would match my other Quentels. The drop caps are distracting, it’s hard to see which Psalm your reading or any chapter for that matter (which is a problem when preaching and you need to quickly find a chapter and verse). Additionally I was very disappointed to see that the pagination is not the same as my other 5 Quentels and will make using it a problem when switching from my wide margin where I take notes, my PSQ that I read out of and the Quentel which I preach out of. If you’re purchasing with the hopes that it matches a previous Quentel please be aware the the ornamental drop caps change the pagination.
