I have been a long time customer Evangelical Bible and have bought many fine bibles from them over the years, including the very first edition of the Quentel ESV (which I still have) but this one takes the cake! This is truly the finest quality execution of an NASB I have have ever seen. The 36 GSM Primabible paper has been my favorite for years now ever since I bought one of the Allan ESV Reader Editions that used the same high grade paper. The inclusion of this paper in this Quentel build was what sealed the deal for me buy this NASB by Schuyler. For a daily reader with all of the inherent page flipping, not to mention the opaqueness, the 36 GSM has become the minimum paper quality I care to spend this kind of money on.

I really like the color combination of the saddle brown calfskin with the deep red lining and ribbons and this one is flawlessly and skillfully executed! The cover is just right, not too thick nor too flimsy. As usual with a Schuyler Bible, the page layout and readout is second to none and my eyes really appreciate the 11 point font.

I could not be more pleased with this fine Bible! I give this Schuyler Quentel NASB my absolute highest recommendation. Honestly, this is nicest Bible I have ever owned.

This is my third Schuyler in the past 12 months, a KJV, a NKJV and now a NASB’95. The marbled calfskin and goatskin on my other two are softer and floppier but the saddle brown leather really does feel like it will endure multiple generations. The contrasting red liner is stunning. No regrets on a blessedly wonderful bible.
Now to save for a Treveris!!

An absolutely beautiful Bible! These Tuscany Italian Aniline Leather Bibles are next level!

Schuyler Bibles come and go from my collection. I’ve lost track of how many I’ve had, but this one makes five that I currently use (CSB, NIV, NLT, ESV, NASB95).

After preaching from the NIV for thirty years and the NLT for ten, as I grow older I find my heart inclining less toward elegant English and more toward increasing accuracy. I enjoy the NASB2020 and I use the ESV, but the NASB95 has been beckoning me. (We used the NASB77 to check our translations in seminary back in the day.)

I like the fact that the NASB capitalizes the pronouns for Deity, that it capitalizes OT quotes in the NT, and that it makes a profound effort to do an intelligible word-for-word translation. It’s not as smooth as the NLT or the NIV, or even the ESV, because the translators diligently attempt accuracy over elegant English, but as my heart inclines toward accuracy, I mind the awkward English less.

Schuyler Bibles are, of course, the very best editions of God’s Word that have been available for a very, very long time, if ever. While I REALLY like the Desert Camel in which my ESV is bound, I’ve been intrigued by the Aniline Calfskin, and that’s what my NASB95 has. Years ago, Schuylers came in 36 gsm and 11 point type, which seemed pretty big to me a decade ago. I understand why they switched to 10 point and 28 gsm.

At the same time, with older eyes, I really appreciate that the NASB95 comes in 11 point, and the 36 gsm is a bonus, IMHO. I knew that those characteristics would make for a larger volume, but I was surprised at the size of the larger footprint. I was also surprised by the size of the full yapp, but then I realized that to have a full yapp with a thicker block, more yapp would be necessary.

I love the blind debossing on the cover. While I would not have minded the blemishes that often come with Aniline, the cover I have appears to be flawless. I have treated it with Bick4 leather conditioner, as I do most such leather, and that has softened the cover just a bit while also protecting it somewhat. (Bick4 doesn’t change the color of the leather.)

All told, I am delighted with my latest Schuyler Bible, as I always am. My dear wife doesn’t seem to mind all this spending too much since it’s on Bibles (!) and since I often sell Bibles to buy Bibles. Thank you, Schuyler, for blessing the world with such elegant copies of God’s Word!

The craftsmanship and materials Schuyler uses for their Bibles are unmatched in the American Bible publishing industry. I’m so very thankful for the limited return of the NASB95 Q with 36gsm paper ~ the perfect Quentel.

Thank you Schuyler Bibles and Evangelical Bible!

    Blessings!
