Description

The Schuyler Stridon is a new and unique presentation of the ESV text. Here is a PDF sampler.  This single column, verse-by-verse typesetting is framed with wide outer margins. Cross references and footnotes are separated at the bottom of the page for ease of use.

Aniline Calfskin reveals the life of the animal in the natural grain, exhibiting pores, healed scars, insect bites, scratches, fat wrinkles, etc. Expect perfect imperfections! This beautiful leather will show marks and stains over time and develop a rich patina with use.

The FY Siena Calfskin, in my opinion is the best of the best in the Stridon series as the leather is stiff enough to support easy page turning of the 28gsm paper. I also purchased the FY olive green and desert camel, these are beautiful in look and to the touch but were too floppy and did not provide a similar reading experience as the Siena as the pages were not as easy to turn. All in all, Schuyler has created a beautifully designed text block and binding which i am looking forward to using for years to come.

I am very satisfied with the Schuyler Stridon, Full Yapp Siena Calfskin Bile. My Schuyler Stridon ESV, Full Yapp Siena Calfskin Bible leather is very similar to my NASB Quentel Tuscany Calfskin. The Siena color is a little darker with a red hew, while the Tuscany has a yellow hew, however, the thickness of the two leathers are identical. I like the larger Full Yapp which extends so that they touch on all sides which protects the Bible pages edges . The leather corner pleats are done extremely well. I do prefer the dark blue liner and navy ribbons to dark brown liner and gold ribbons on the Tuscany. I like the slightly larger footprint (overall size) than both my Stridon NASB and Quentel; it just feels better in my hands. My eyes will have to adjust to the 10 point font after reading the 11 Milo font on the Quentels, but that is not a deal breaker. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and looking forward to using the Bible for years to come.
