The new and updated Stridon ESV is our same popular verse-by-verse, single column layout but updated with a more opaque 36 GSM paper, substantially wider margins, and 2025 ESV text. Here is a PDF sample. The slightly smaller text accommodates the wider margins while remaining very clear and legible and bold verse numbers have been added to indicate the start of a new paragraph. Cross references and footnotes are separated at the bottom of the page for ease of use. These modifications result in a Bible that functions as a highly practical edition for note-taking and in-depth study.

I recently purchased the Schuyler Stridon in the ESV translation with the black goatskin cover, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. Right from the start, the presentation-quality box signals the premium craftsmanship inside.
The full yapp goatskin cover is gorgeous, incredibly supple, and a premium tactile experience unlike any other Bible cover I have ever handled. The black goatskin gives it an incredibly elegant, classic, and timeless look. The art gilding is equally impressive, showing a beautiful gold when closed and a rich red when the pages are opened. Mechanically and visually, the Stridon is a joy to use. It lays completely flat right out of the box, and the readability is excellent. Schuyler used fantastic, thicker paper and provided wider margins that will easily accommodate my personal notes. [1]
To top it all off, Schuyler’s customer service is top-tier. I placed my order on a Tuesday evening with custom embossing and selected the next-day shipping option. I was shocked when it arrived well before noon on Wednesday morning! Schuyler delivers a flawless product with unmatched speed and service.

Beautiful Bible overall, shipping was also incredibly fast!
I look forward to writing many notes when studying with this Bible, it has plenty of margin on the sides and bottom to do this and won’t block the actual text when looking through from the other side of the page.
It’s not a huge Bible but it’s still fairly large/heavy so it won’t be the best for traveling with but is perfect for a study Bible and note taking.
My only wish is that they offered a version like this (not a full yapp) in the tan/Sienna brown colors but the black is still great – just a nice, classic look overall.

I ordered the Schuyler Stridon ESV in Black Goatskin. This Bible is truly a work of art. Very comfortable in my hands and very well constructed. the text is very easy on the eyes as well. Even with a 28 GSM paper, the quality and print are so nice that there’s not an issue reading it at all. No matter what translation you prefer, I’d definitely buy a Schuyler.
