I just found this bible on the side of the on-ramp to I-95 in brewer, Maine today 9/14/24. I’d love to find the owner! I’m finding it hard to believe someone would purposely throw this beautiful bible out the window. But there are scumbags and reprobates out there. This is a beautiful Bible and very expensive. If you can afford one they’re worth the money. I’m very grateful to have rescued this one!

I struggle making decisions, so before buying this one I printed off the sample pages for all of these formats: the Personal Size Quentel (8.5 font), the Wide Margin Quentel (9.5 font), this Stridon (10 font), and the regular Quentel (11 font). I then wrote pros and cons for each one.
Pros
– I love the format with each verse beginning on a new line. It makes it easier to read and focus. My brain gets easily distracted with multiple columns, so this is perfect.
– The 10 pt font size is great; it’s not too big or small.
– I look forward to seeing how the Tuscany will patina with regular use.
– The 1 inch margin allows for some notes with the right Bible marking implements.
Cons
– The only drawback is the paper thickness. The 28 GSM is a little too thin. When the words from the next page show through, also referred to as “ghosting,” it can be distracting. It’s more noticeable in the poetry sections where the lines are shorter.
Recommendations
– Please make the wide margin in the Stridon format. Folks buying the current wide margin are already willing to buy a thicker Bible, and it would be especially helpful for note taking for a single column in the outer margin.
– Not really a negative, but I wish Schuyler would make the NASB Stridon in the 1995 version. It’s what my pastor preaches from and what I’ve memorized in. I decided to get the ESV since I already have the Crossway Study Bible in this version.
Overall, I love this Bible and look forward to using it for many years to come.

The BEST Schuyler Bible I have purchased. I love the format, the font size, the single column (which they got just perfect in terms of words per line), and the Tuscany leather which is gorgeous. I’m excited for how this leather will age. I have had several Schuyler Bibles, Crossway heritage bibles, Cambridge, and Alan Bibles, but this is my new daily user. Easy 5 out of 5 star review.

Wow! I can’t express how satisfied I am with my ESV Stridon Tuscany calfskin with full yapp. I was concerned that the color would be too yellow or orange for my preference, however the outcome is exactly what I wanted…rustic with the ability to age and patina. I appreciate the rustic vibe and how it appeals to my senses.
I own quite a few high end bibles from Schuyler and other publishers, but I have never written a review. However, I am so pleased that I felt compelled to verbally “give back” via review.
The most compelling part of this Bible to me is the text block and how they have laid it out. It is ideal for reading, studying, note-taking, and preaching. As a minister, this presents everything I want in a Bible with exceptional care to the details. Schuyler, please extend the Stridon line to the NKJV so I can have my perfect Bible in my preferred translation. There is no publisher who is filling the empty place in the NKJV with a single column verse by verse edition with generous margins. It truly is an opportunity for Schuyler to simply extend their Stridon line and again be a forerunner with high quality editions.
I truly believe Schuyler has knocked it out of the park with this format. It is exactly what I want to use in teaching and preaching. Thank you for a fantastic format swathed in a gorgeous leather. I will use it for years to come.

I just received the today and all I can say is , “wow”! The Tuscany leather is just amazing, feels simply wonderful in your hand, and that smell? Oh my! Love it.
The text block is just perfect, not so large that you feel like you’re reading a giant print, but large enough to accommodate my aging eyes. The line spacing and verse-by-verse layout may be the best I’ve seen. This very well may be my “perfect” Bible. Well done Schuyler!
