Slightly smaller text size: 9.5 instead of 11 point font. 2. Heavier paper – 40 GSM Bible paper. 3. Semi-yapp cover. 4. 32 pages of lined note paper. 5. Last, but not least, wide margins. Outer Margin: 35 mm; Inner Margin 33 mm; Top Margin: 25-30 mm; Bottom Margin: 31-36 mm. I recently decided that I wanted a wide margin Bible for taking notes during my study time with the Lord.
I knew I wanted a Schuyler bible in the ESV translation. So, upon looking at what EB had to offer I mistakenly ordered the Stridon thinking , because of the pictures on the website, that it was wide margin.
The Bible arrived within a few days and as soon as I opened it I realized my mistake. A very costly mistake at that. Or so I thought.
I immediately contacted EB and explained what had happened. A lady named Karen was very helpful and said that I could exchange the Bible for the one that I wanted. She even waived the 15% restocking fee if I chose to receive store credit.
So, I returned the Bible and ordered the wide margin Quintel in black goatskin.
Again, it arrived in only a couple of days and I am absolutely thrilled with this Bible! I love everything about it! It is beautiful to look at. The margins are wide enough to write notes in and the paper is heavy enough that there is very little to no bleed through.
I knew it would be a large bible, but it isn’t so big and bulky that I can’t carry it with me.

Purchased the wide-margin after buying the Quentel. The 40GSM paper is beautiful on the fingers and the layout design is my favorite. It is heavy, but that contributes (in my mind) to the importance of the Word of God. I have a Bible on my iPhone – this is the total opposite and makes me focus and appreciate the beauty and power of God’s Word. The craftsmanship is flawless!

An absolutely amazing bible. My first real premium bible and boy has it set the bar high. The paper is luxuriously thick, so much so that I am able to write in the margins with a blue or sepia micron 01 with no bleed through and hardly any show through. The leather is lovely and flexible while still holding up to everyday use. Although it is definitely a big bible and somewhat unwieldy much of the time, I have still been able to preach out of it a couple of times and really enjoyed it. I would love for Schuyler to one day make a midsize bible, somewhere between the PSQ and Quentel in terms of size. I think that this size print without the margins and on thinner paper would definitely be that bible.

This is the first premium Bible I’ve had. I wanted something that I could underline and take notes in for the purpose of eventually having something like my own personal study Bible. Obviously that process will take years, and I wanted something that will last. This Bible is great. Using Pigma micron pens it does not bleed and rarely shows through. Waxy highlighters (search “Bible Dry Highlighter” on Amazon) work well too. I have no doubt that this Bible will last decades or longer.
I would make two changes:
1) More ribbons.
2) Make the presentation page more generic.. The current presentation page is useless on Bibles which are not given as gifts.

Post seminary graduation I bought the ESV Quentel Wide Margin direct from EB and I am loving it. I went with this edition for note taking and use in Bible teaching. For what it’s worth, this is definitely a larger Bible but I don’t think it’s as unwieldy as some people have said. For comparison, it is thicker than a thin-line like the Omega but thinner than the ESV Study Bible. This is a beautiful Bible and I hope to see it last a lifetime and become a family heirloom.

I’ve used other wide margin Bibles (Allan, Cambridge, Nelson) and have decided this is the one I like best. The goatskin leather is soft and comfortable to hold, the creamy white paper is easy on the eyes and the craftsmanship is superb -very well done. The print is bigger than in most of the other w/m Bibles, but not so big as to widen the Bible and make holding it awkward. This print is a pleasure to read. The margins are adequate. This is a good size Bible but not too heavy for my comfort. The three ribbons are just the right size and the color is a delight to behold (red with a tiny bit of orange to give them interest) and are of excellent quality. I am VERY happy with every aspect of this purchase.
