When I received my TBS Koiné Greek New Testament it was packed nicely with absolutely no damage at all (even to the box that it came in). When I opened the box and took out my New Testament, it felt like you’re seeing an old friend. It felt that comfortable, and fit perfectly in my hand. The calfskin leather is soft and supple with no defects at all. Once you open it, the pages are easy to turn with no sticking that usually happens with inferior manufactured Bibles. The Greek print is very easy on the eyes making it a joy to read. Each page is “line matched” so that there is very minimal “ghosting”. The binding is sturdy and seems to be Smyth sewn. There’s even some extra blank pages to take notes on. Overall, this TBS Koiné Greek New Testament is superior in its manufacturing and if you don’t have one, I recommend that you purchase this one. I know that it will serve me well for many years to come. Εν Ιησους Χριστο, ευχαριστω, αμεν και αμεν…

This TBS Textus Receptus is a fine hand sized book that you can carry and read on mountain hikes, as I do. Fine binding and great value. I often think of the minister dad in “The River Runs Through It,” when he retires to the hillside with his Greek New Testament! A fisher of men? Anyway, I bought my copy from Evangelicalbibles.com in 2013. Please keep up your Greek reading!

(2022 New Typesetting Review)
I have been waiting for this volume for a long while, now, and I ordered mine as soon as it became available. To begin, this is the highest quality Greek text that you can buy. The new typesetting is an improvement that cannot be overstated. It is quite similar in reading experience to the THGNT, but even better (due to the simple apparatus-free page). Even if the text wasn’t line matched, the paper is wonderfully thick and opaque. The contents are identical to the older edition, and that is just fine with me.
Here are a few minor cons:
-The margins leave a lot to be desired, especially the top/bottom
-The ribbon marker is thin, but far better then the UBS/NA (no surprise)
-The leather is not half as nice as my Royal Jongbloed Westminster Reference Bible. If you have a WRB, don’t expect the same thick grainy texture in this TR
-Not a lot of blank pages in the back
I will end with pros, since you need to understand that this Bible is worth every penny, and should cost more:
-When you hold this text in your hand, you realize that TBS has a high view of God’s word. It is nicer than anything else in print
-The text itself is one that has stood the test of time, and it is this volume’s most important feature. It is more to be desired than gold, even much fine gold.
-The typeface is spectacular
-The size is perfectly portable
-It is really hard to put down

Regarding the text itself, fabricated and reversed engineered. I would reccommend to the serious inquirer either the 1550 Estienne or the 1707 Millianum for a standard text. They only differ in 29 places. Get this and you throw time and money away, you would cry to know the differences between Scrivener and Stephanus, look up his 1873 Paragraph bible appendices, or his 1881 text (not WH) but his proper 1881 Text in the Original Greek. Wanna cry some more? How about Hoskier’s 1890 publication? Don’t follow Scrivener’s fabricated text, you will loose everytime. Learn Greek rather.

Received this Koine Greek Textus Receptus today. I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the size, which fits comfortably in the hand. The black calfskin is thick and sturdy, and overall, this is a beautiful Bible!

Simply beautiful and well made. The nicest Greek NT on the market bar none. I was not disappointed in the least. It exceeded my expectations. I love the font and removing the versification to the margins makes for excellent readability.
I hope they will also considering printing an edition of Pickering’s f35 Byzantine text with or without its excellent apparatus.

Beautiful Bible! Such quality. Another treasure from TBS. Very high standards for the prices they set. R.L Allan should take note!

This is a wonderful Greek New Testament. Its the perfect size to carry-along where ever you go. It has a very readable text block. If you do a lot of reading and/or preaching from the Authorized Version (KJV) this Textus Recptus translation is a must. Out of the box this Bible is not as flexible as I wanted but now after six months or so of use its very flexible and will lay flat when open.
For me this is a strong five star Bible. A terrific price for a quality calfskin bound Greek New Testament.
A great KJV companion Bible is the TBS Windsor Text Bibles which are about the same size as this Greek New Testament.

Was very pleased when I received this Bible. The calfskin binding is very supple and put together well. It feels good in your hands. The text is dark and very legible, a good size for reading. If they would print one based on the UBS Greek text that would be great as well. Overall this is an excellent product and, for the price, just a fantastic value.
