Michael R. Drapp –
This Bible was purchased for me as a pastor’s gift from EvangelicalBible.com. As some of you know, I am a great fan of R. L. Allan and Schuyler Bibles. I also enjoy some of the Cambridge editions; ala the Topaz. Since I use and collect these premium offerings, you may wonder why I would give this Bible a 5-star rating. This Bible is fantastic as a traveling companion and in venues where your other premium Bibles may be at risk. As an example, have you ever conducted a graveside service and your Bible passage was being flipped around by the wind during this critical time? This Bible is so thin and flexible, you can fold the cover around with one hand and continue reading without interruption. The water buffalo cover when bent provides a very good, textured grip even in the rain. This Bible is fairly light and easy to keep in your carry-on luggage. How many times have you met someone on the plane and wished that you had your Bible at hand? It has happened to me quite a lot and this Bible is excellent to have with you on these occasions. Have you ever wanted to give someone your Bible on a plane or during a trip but did not want to present them with one of your R. L. Allan or Schuyler offerings? This Bible is nice enough for a gift to commemorate the occasion without you having to give away a Bible that may be out of print or hard to replace. Practicality aside, this NASB is very easy on your eyes due to the large font size and so flexible that you can place it in most any position while you read. In my opinion, at this price, it is a 5-star bargain.

After having and using this Bible along side of very high quality premier Bibles, I appreciate this Bible for the quality to cost ratio. The leather is wonderful and soft. It’s not stiff in any way. The print is a pleasure to comfortably read, and I don’t have to be super careful with it or be afraid of fragile paper ripping if I travel with it or carry it to church. I’m much more careful with some other Bibles that I have. It’s very easy for me to give this Bible 5 stars.

The paper on this one is terrible. It would be worth raising the price a bit to have decent paper. It is the worst paper I have of any bible.
The cover feels good, but kinda cheap. If I could have put my hands on it before buying, I would not have made the purchase.

I ordered this Bible from evangelical bible and have had it for about a month now. I was looking for a good quality NASB, because many of my cheap NASB Bibles are falling apart at the seams, especially the covers. I have a variety of translations, but I prefer NASB as I have always used it and I like the literal translation. Although I can read NT Greek (and a bit of Hebrew) as a seminary trained pastor, I still do most of my reading in English, and with NASB I at least have a good idea what the underlying Greek is saying.
So I oredered this Bible hoping for a thin, easy to hold, large print “reader” Bible with a durable cover. Well, this Bible exceeded my expectations! Although I was hesitant about the blue cover, I actually like it. The buffalo hide is super soft and supple and lays flat. It has a beautiful grain texture. The ribbons are good, as is the paper. This is also a red letter edition, which is my preference because I am so used to red letter, and it is a nice subdued red.
I have two issues with the Bible, which don’t detract from its quality. First, the margins are small, so I won’t be making many notes. This is unfortunate, because it precludes this from becoming my primary Bible. Second, there are no references. This is really too bad, because it means this is limited as a serious study tool. I am disappointed in the publisher for not including references, and in myself for not noticing in the description that is is not a reference Bible.
Otherwise, this is a great Bible. The quality is outstanding. Leather is really impressive (and smells wonderful!). As long as you aren’t looking for a study Bible to make notes in, this thinline large print makes an excellent reader.
