Black Meriva natural grain calfskin edition with silver embossing and gilding, leather-lined in navy blue Meriva.
Bound in Black Meriva calfskin with generous semi-yapp and blue under silver page edges, leather-lined in dark navy Meriva with gilt line inside and three wide ribbon markers, with presentation pages and family record, dictionary of proper names, subject index, concordance, 32 pages lined writing paper and 16 pages of Oxford Bible maps.
First printed in 1952, the King James Version Longprimer Bible is a traditional double-column reference setting of the Authorized Version. Developed by Oxford University Press and now published exclusively by R. L. Allan, it has for many years been our flagship Bible, renowned the world over for its clarity of type and our beautiful bindings.

Just received my first 62 Longprimer Sovereign Bible. It’s a beauty. It has a hefty feel and falls open nicely. Print is outstanding, along with thicker paper than most Bibles. I love the silver line edition. One thing I like to mention: while the Meriva Calfskin is supple and luxurious, it does not have the grain pattern (pebble) as does the goatskin. This does not detract from the Bible; but please know if you are considering spending this amount of money, the texture is much smoother than goatskin and, in my opinion, will show more wear from usage. It’s certainly a nice addition to my collection. Allan did a great job designing this one. I’ve purchased several Bibles from EB and have been incredibly pleased with their customer service and super fast shipping. Highly recommended!!
