This is my preaching Bible. I prefer the calfskin as it is easier to hold one handed and read. It is not too thick and is easy to use. I like the concordance and maps.

Nice readable font. The red text is a good color. Switching the verse number to black for the words of Christ are a nice touch. I did replace the ribbons as I prefer four ribbons.

I have several other premium Bibles and this one gets the most use.

I like this Bible but it doesn’t feel as premium as my other premium Bibles. I was hoping the text would be bolder like the turquoise but it’s not very deep or bold. The red letter is not consistent throughout with some spots being better than others. I like the feel of the calfskin. I’m not crazy about the paste down liner but they seem to have done a good job with it. I like the red cover it’s not too dark or too bright.

it is my go to bible I use KJV also but the ESV is my favorite

The verse-by-verse layout of this Bible is the wonderful. The problem I noticed is the red lettering. It fades just around John 3:16 (still readable without difficulty) but is better done and more easily readable everywhere else as far as I can see so far. It would be so easy (and probably cheaper) to just do a black letter text. That be said, I am pleased with this Bible. It is sturdy and a good reader. I would buy it again, even with the red letter issue. It will be my carry-to-church Bible.

The Topaz is a beautiful Bible. The calfskin cover is velvety smooth. The paper is as opaque as my other Cambridge Bibles. The print is large, jet black and clear. It will be very easy to read for long periods of time for a person with weak eyes. It is as readable as a Quentel. Crossway is fantastic but it was Cambridge that finally offered a traditional large print, verse by verse ESV Bible with red letters. The red is close to burgundy. Its easy on the eyes.

I have read comments about the quality of the Topaz not being on par with the Quentel. I have 3 full size and 2 personal size Quentels. While I certainly appreciate Schuyler quality I do not expect every Bible that I purchase to be just like a Schuyler. I appreciate the differences of other brands. As mentioned before the Topaz stands out because it offers what many mature people are used to as far as the verse by verse format of the Bible. The format is also preferred by many preachers and teachers.

The Topaz is a remarkable Bible. I am very pleased with it.
