Wow! This bible was gifted to me, and it was quite a surprise! I knew that I loved the look of it, but I was really taken aback by the feel of it! The weight, the texture, the way it sits in my hand. All excellent! I did not realize how much of a difference all this attention to detail would make. I love the typeset, the color choices, the references, the design on the front … I even love the smell! It feels durable too – not that I’m going to intentionally put it through anything rough. The full yap looks like it’s going to be an extra layer of protection for the pages too.
This is easily the most physically engaging Bible I’ve ever owned. Such a pleasure to hold and read! 11 out of 10!

I recently purchased this Bible for my brother Mark. It was worth every penny. We could not take our eyes of the beautiful Marbled Mahogany cover. In my option it is the most beautiful of all the options. The pages are silky smooth and the type is the perfect size. Very little ghosting from one page to another. This thing is a prize Bible.

i cannot help compairing this to Cambridge’s Turquoise Full Yapp, they look & feel like brothers! it’s by far the best NAS’95 i now own. my 10 yr. old Clarion’s single column / 8.75pt. font has progressively become too straining for my mortified eyes. i was led to this offering by Schuyler, for it’s premium Calfskin Yapp, Double Column, 11pt. font <<>> readablity is superb & easy on the eyes. binding leather stitching top-notch! i can only knock the color of the paper stock: there is noticable ghosting, which is more pronounced under bright / cool white lighting. it’s 28GSM is not the issue per sé /// as Cambridge’s Turqouise KJV is a superior 28 GSM; most likely due to it’s semi cream colored hue, which seems to tame the ghosting? irregardless of the paper stock color – i am thankful for God’s providing this Bible through Schuyler & Evangelical Bible ✞ ✞ ✞ this Bible will grab attention . . . so be en gardé Rom 8:6-8 ✞ ✞ ✞

I find myself in love with this Bible after 3 short weeks with it. The feel of the leather and the craftsmanship are unmatched. I have used Cambridge and Allan Bibles for years and this is a step above my Cambridge in quality and on par with my Allan. The paper is a little thin and there is some ghosting. Marking lightly, even with a Micron 005 will show through, but that’s my only minor complaint. The ghosting is minimal and not a distraction. I find the cross references and notes more readable and easily findable than in other Bibles I’ve had. So grateful for this Bible and its craftsmanship.

The New American Standard Bible held a pivotal role in shaping my spiritual journey during the 1970s, marking the beginning of my exploration of modern English translations of the Bible. Its significance extends far beyond its role as a mere translation; it holds a cherished place in my heart, serving as a guiding light in my quest for spiritual growth and understanding.
The realm of beautifully crafted Bibles welcomes an extraordinary addition – the Schuyler NASB95 in Full Yapp Marbled Mahogany Calfskin.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this Schuyler Bible boasts a stunning cover made from top-quality calfskin, providing a luxurious feel and durability that ensures longevity. The full yapp design adds a touch of sophistication while safeguarding the pages within.
Beyond its captivating exterior, the NASB95 translation is a hallmark of precision and accuracy. Renowned for its commitment to fidelity to the original languages, the New American Standard Bible remains a favorite among scholars, pastors, and readers seeking a faithful rendering of the biblical text.
This Schuyler edition offers a blend of tradition and modernity. Whether as a treasured personal Bible, a thoughtful gift for a loved one, or an addition to a collection, this Bible stands as a testament to the fusion of artistry and reverence for the Word of God.

Simply beautiful… 5 out of 5 stars!

This bible is wonderful. The pictures and youtube videos does not do it justice. Everything the other reviewers said about the bible is true and then some. If you can and they aren’t sold out, get this bible because the leather is phenomenal.

Oh. my. word. I may have to carry this bible everywhere. No – really.
I have other Quentels, but something about the yapp makes the pages feel so much bigger! It adds to the feeling of white space. It is just a joy to read and to hold. The paper and printing are as always top notch. Thank you Schuyler

Being my first Schuyler, this edition was eagerly anticipated and, for the most part, I am glad I bought it. The casing & binding, page design & font are expertly done and I know that this bible will last many years.
The downfall is the 28gsm paper, whose thinness and fragility make it less than ideal for a large format bible like the full size Quentel. Another issue remains the type size of the concordance, and whether there is a point to its inclusion given that it is rendered worthless by the inability to read it. After so many have complained after so much time and yet there is no fix to the concordance is either indifference or contempt in failing to correct it.
And so at the very least I now have, along with the FY Canterbury also in this casing, a couple of Schuylers in my collection.

I’ve had several different Quentels and this copy is by far the best. The text block is amazing. The type is rich and dark and crisp. Most of all though, the red chapter numbers are a very deep burgundy from Genesis to maps, not the pale reddish/salmon color of some of my others. The line matching is flawless and the show-through or ghosting is no different to better than the older Quentels I have with heavier paper. The Bible thickness has that perfect feel in the hand, not flimsy and not too fat and heavy. I was leery of the 28 gsm paper, but I’m totally sold on it now.
The calfskin cover does not quite have that richness of color or sheen that the pictures show, but the quality is still wonderful. I’m sure with continued use, it will take on a character and patina all it’s own. The corners are very well done and centering of the text block is dead on. The weight of the leather is perfect…not too stiff and not too thin. What I still can’t get over is the quality of the text block in my copy. While I want what I have in my hand to feel nice, 99.999% of my focus is of course on the text….and my eyes are very, very happy with it.

I have always been a fan of a high-quality calfskin covered bibles and actually prefer it to goatskin. So, when I saw this edition coming available, I signed on the dotted line and pre-ordered one. Now that it has arrived, I am not disappointed whatsoever. In fact, it exceeded my expectations on several fronts. The feel of the cover has that unique padded feeling you get with calfskin with just the right balance of durability and flexibility. The coloring is superb and I can see how it should work well to blend with the inevitable wear that time brings instead of the wear being a glaring imperfection that can happen with solid colors. The crimped corners are done excellently and as with all Schuyler bibles, they have added the sewn edge which adds durability and a little something to the aesthetics as well.
The text size is good for me and my aging eyes, and I much prefer this edition to the wide margin NASB with its smaller text. This is a true reader’s Bible that you can spend a lot of time with. Years ago I bought one of the original Schuyler NASB Bibles when they had the very heavy paper and I love those bibles for that very reason but these new papers that are lighter are really great because they have a higher density than the very fine paper that you would get in bibles years ago. They seem to hold ink so that it presents crisply and are more durable. I do have to flip the pages a little more gingerly than I can get by with on my original Schuyler NASBs though.
I highly recommend this Marbled Calfskin NASB with the full yapp and personally, I hope to see this binding of future Schuyler offerings as well. Goatskin is not the only covering worthy of an heirloom Bible.

To be honest I was a little on the fence about this one. I’m a big fan of goatskin so the idea of spending so much on a calfskin bible seemed a little crazy to me – BUT I have always been seriously enamoured with the marbled mahogany schematic Schuyler offer so I had to bite the bullet with this one.
But all of my expectations have been radically exceeded, even considering I wasn’t totally sold with some of the early pictures people who received theirs before me were sharing online. This thing is glorious, truly. The calfskin is extremely smooth but just as floppy as Schuyler’s goatskin. The interior is produced to their usual impeccably high standard and this bible has a generously large font that makes it easily the most comfortable and readable book I’ve ever owned. Sitting for long periods of time in this thing is a dream!
And to boot, the calfskin smells incredible. The one thing I missed about the goatskin premiums is that the smell quickly fades and you’re left with a beautiful, but regrettably un-smelly book! Not so with this calfskin – I could sit sniffing it all day! I might be a calfskin convert.
Thank you Schuyler 🙂

Simply stunning! Far and away the finest bible I have ever held. EVERY inch is of the highest quality.

This bible is absolutely amazing in every way! The calfskin leather is so soft, smooth, and flexible with such a lovely finish with a unique look/pattern of the grain. The bible lays open wonderfully even from reading the beginning and just feels amazing in the hands. The full yap looks beautiful with the bible closed and gives it a fuller look when opened and hangs nicely. The length and width is great, it’s a little thinner with a perfected distribution which I really like for carrying. The emblem and raised hubs on the spine also have a thinner look and give it a smooth and elegant overall appearance. And of course I absolutely love Schuyler’s font and inner layout. Overall this bible is so refined with such a superb aesthetic and quality it makes me eager to use it and enjoy reading all the more. It really is one of a kind and I am so pleased to have chosen this one, which exceeded expectations. Well worth it and will enjoy for the long run. Thank you!

First and foremost this is how a bible should be made, with love and care for Gods word! Secondly the calfskin is the most floppy/droopy calfskin I have ever felt. This bible will become my daily reader, once again thank you.
