The new and updated Stridon ESV is our same popular verse-by-verse, single column layout but updated with a more opaque 36 GSM paper, substantially wider margins, and 2025 ESV text. Here is a PDF sample. The slightly smaller text accommodates the wider margins while remaining very clear and legible, and bold verse numbers have been added to indicate the start of a new paragraph. Cross references and footnotes are separated at the bottom of the page for ease of use. These modifications result in a Bible that functions as a highly practical edition for note-taking and in-depth study.

The Desert Camel Calfskin Bible arrived today.
I had been having second thoughts. The pictures made it look a bit like it had Redskins/Commanders colors.
Wrong.
Photos here don’t do it justice. A total knockout. Just a beautiful, beautiful Bible.

Just received my Stridon today. Excellent Bible. The previous reviews have it covered. 10 out of 10. The ribbons and liner colors work so well with the Desert Camel cover. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a Bible.

The desert camel calfskin cover option for the ESV Stridon managed to sell out within a week of the books release. Hopefully they have more on backorder so other folks can experience this unique leather. The best part of the book is the text block. I am a children’s pastor and like to use both the ESV and NLT when I teach kids and youth. This Sunday used the Stridon for a message and was able to locate passages instantly. The verse by verse layout is great, and love that the verse numbers are in red. The Stridon is a great design for anyone doing Bible teaching and also for long reading sessions.

This was love at first sight!
The leather is very grainy and has a natural marbled look. It is also very supple.
The binding was done perfectly on my edition. It lays so flat I sent a message to EV bible just to make sure this was bound by Jongbloed.
The color scheme is stunning.
The layout gives you the feel of a readers but, with the ease of navigation a verse-by-verse layout provides. Whoever made the decision to highlight the verses in red and make the Bible black letter instead of red letter is a genius and probably deserves a promotion.
The paper feels like silk it’s so smooth and the line matching is perfectly executed.
This Bible has a next level feel to it.
I cannot recommend this edition more if I could give it 6 stars I would!
I have decided to make this my main Bible because I don’t want to put it down.

Absolutely gorgeous! I have a Treveris (which I love), I wanted a legit line by line and not just a reader, however, that was not available in ESV until now! While I love the Treveris the Stridon surpasses it in versatility, size, and format. While the two Bibles fulfill different purposes, those familiar with the Terveris, I believe, will enjoy the transition to the Stridon. The only thing I would have liked to be included on the Stridon is the ornamental drop caps, but this is a minor personal preference that many people will not miss. The Stridon would be a great preaching and teaching Bible but will make for an excellent reader and or daily devotional Bible. Very, very happy! Very, very worth it!
