Description
The Turquoise Reference Edition of the King James Bible was created in the 1920s and has stood as a superb and well-loved example of classic Cambridge typographic design for over ninety years. The large format allows the text to be presented in a comfortably readable form using a bold, traditional typeface with cross-references. For this edition, the concordance has been freshly typeset, and the Bible includes the Translators’ Preface, their compelling account of the principles underlying the publication of the KJV in 1611.
Features include:
Black Goatskin with full leather linings
Red under gold art gilt
Two red ribbons
Red-letter text
28 gsm Indopaque paper
Translator’s Preface

Italics for inserted words

Honestly, the only Bible you’ll need. The dark font, white spacing, and paper quality is simply amazing. Easy to read, perfect size, … and did I mention paper quality? Its 28 GSM paper but feels more like 30-36GSM. I have the topaz and canterbury kjv – the paper on both feel very thin.

Wonderful Bible in every way – e.g., materials, workmanship, and readability. The best of Cambridge’s 400 years of Bible publishing at a very competitive price by EB.com.

I first bought this Bible in 2019 but I wore it out, so I just bought my second copy from Evangelical Bible.
This is the best reading Bible I have ever owned. The layout is great (double column), and the print is large, dark, and crisp. It is red letter, except in Revelation, which is really the only complaint I have about this Bible. I’m not a huge fan of red letter in the first place because there are some passages, namely in John, where it’s unclear if Jesus is speaking or the author of the gospel is offering his reflections. But if you’re going to go red, I’d prefer you include Revelation, too.
That aside, this is an excellent Bible. I will note, however, that the materials don’t seem to be as high quality as the copy I bought back in 2019. The 2019 copy has wonderfully silky, milky-white paper, and the leather seems to be more flexible and buttery. Don’t get me wrong, the new copy is great too, it’s just a notch below my 2019 copy.
I also like that it includes the Translators to the Reader, and it’s got some great maps in the back. It’s just a very well-proportioned Bible in all ways and if you can’t deal with small print, this is definitely the way to go.

I cannot recommend this Bible…it is a red letter Bible EXCEPT the book of Revelation

An absolutely beautiful Bible. So easy to read with nice bold font. This is the nicest Bible I have. I appreciate Evangelical Bible for assisting me with my order for this Bible.
