Svyatoslav Zhuchenya –
Cover is beautiful, one of the best I have seen, although the edges that were exposed in the box (not covered by the protective paper) had some scuffs already on them. Makes me wonder about the calfskin’s longevity. I am not impressed with the paper in the copy I got. I have a black goatskin Quentel (CSB) that one is much better quality. In the NASB, The gold page guild is wavy and the pages have some warping that you typically see in the $30-$50 bibles. Had I not engraved mine, I would have returned and ordered something else. Not a big deal, I plan to preach from this so it will probably get beat up a bit but for a $210 bible I except some better quality control. Just wish I got a better copy, this is such a nice bible.

I have this bible and a PSQ NASB, and I love them both. But in 2 Samuel 13:23, line continuation breaks the word “sheepshearers” as “sheeps-hearers.” 🙂

What a beautiful Bible!
I purchased this beauty about three weeks ago.
The appearance alone is a winner. But HOLDING this masterpiece of craftmanship in one’s hand is a genuine joy. The leather has a strong new-car smell that doesn’t dissipate. The bible makes a subtle leathery noise when turning pages. You can feel its quality and reading it becomes an immersive experience. The pages? I have never touched such a soft paper in a bible before.
They printed the maps on durable paper, but it is not cheap, glossy carton. The map paper is still relatively thin, yet made to last. Their quality is Schuyler A-1.
The Quintel is now my primary reading Bible, and I look forward to getting the Personal Size for on-the-go, which I believe matches the page numbers and layout of the regular NASB Quintel, except it doesn’t have the Concordance, which makes sense for a Personal Size Bible.
Thank you Schuyler, and thank you, staff at evangelicalbible.com for answering my many questions before the purchase, and for the same day shipping, even though I ordered engraving.

Love love love! So so soft, cover easily bends/folds back with the hand when reading with no creases, etc., which I’m sure will get better and better with age! My worry when purchasing without holding and looking was the font on these aging eyes….but the readability exceeded my expectation! This is definitely my forever Bible —so much so I went ahead and ordered a personal size for travel and my carry bags for work. Don’t hesitate—these are beautiful! Arrived in a beautiful solid case/box with hand written note. No detail left unchecked!

I received my copy of the NASB Marbled Mahogany Calfskin Bible two weeks ago. It is a stunningly beautiful Bible. The craftsmanship is outstanding. The Schuyler Co. outdid themselves with this one. I love the color of the leather and its flexibility. I also own a copy of the ESV Quentel and the KJV Canterbury Bibles. I do personally prefer the 36 gsm paper used in the ESV and Canterbury because it is easier to flip through pages quickly while preaching and has less bleed through, but the 28 gsm indopaque paper is very nice. I would highly recommend buying this Bible.

This is a very nice bible, I was hoping for a more textured cover it’s more of a ironed calf skin which makes it more smooth.
The liner is very nice, the corner work is very good.
The most important is the text block, started reading and I couldn’t put it down, seems like the bible conforms around your hands.
I guess I will have to keep this one because the bible talking back to me.
Thanks again, Another beautiful bible.

I wasn’t totally sure if I’d like this Bible in Calfskin, but I haven’t regretted the decision to get it one bit. The leather is still really flexible when compared to goatskin, but has a little bit more of a durable feel to it than I expected which is great. It just feels awesome in the hand. So if you’re on the fence like I was with the leather type, but still really want this color, don’t hesitate! You’ll love it.

I’m almost embarrassed to admit how many goatskin Quentels and Caxtons I own (a lot). I just received my Mahogany Calfskin NASB Quentel today. It is my new favorite Bible. The calfskin is soft and supple and the color is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Schuyler for offering premium calfskin Bibles equal to your goatskin product line.

Received mine today and it was BEAUTIFUL! The calfskin is nice and smooth and the cover is very soft and bendable. I really like it. Unfortunately, there was some damage to the leather, so I had to return it to exchange it for another. I wish it had a two-piece box instead of a clamshell box, but I can probably learn to live with that. I do keep My Bible in the box when I carry it around, so hopefully the box will last. Overall, a great Bible.
